surfing the internet

hi all,
i have been using net for the past 10 years or so. in the beginning i was using it for study material search and sometimes for fun at that time it was costly.but now it is offering me more than anything else and has become comparatively cheaper.it has become an important part of my daily life.whether news or entertainment,tech. knowledge or fun,gossip forums or some serious talk i very much depend on it.i think internet has reduced the cultural barrier among the countries and brought the people around the world to one forum.though not all people are using it the same way.what about others here think of internet and its uses.
how did you find this site?how many hours do you surf everyday?what are the main purpose for using internet?...

For the most part the internet is used as a new source and a sanity break for me. I like mylot because it gives me specific questions to think about and helps me escape my day to day life. I first started surfing the internet back about 10 years ago too and it was mostly for education back then. Today, it's more for news, weather and sanity.

so you are kind of person who takes this forum in a more serious way...well am only active here for the past few days and in the learning process while there are so many people from different parts coming to one forum is no doubt an exciting one...thanks for responding.

i stumbled upon mylot through a social networking group. someone sent me an invitation to join. so, i just decided to check it out and see what it is all about.
i go in and out of the internet. i seek online writing jobs for an hour or two, take a break, check my email, take a break, check my profile pages, take a break, play with virtual reality sites, take a break. i probably spend 6 to 8 hours a day. i am mostly on the internet to seek online writing jobs and market my novel.

Like you I have used the internet to research things and found much useful information. The library is often closed at the hours it most convenient to do research so the internet is great and the information, when accurate, is often more current. I used to spend time in chat rooms in the beginning but now it is mostly about email and finding information. I found out about myLot from a friend.

You might be amazed to hear that I stay online usually more than 19-20 hrs!! I anm working mainly towards making some money online. I hope I'm not addicted to it.
