Jogger Needs Help

I have a hard time losing weight, and dieting alone won't do it.
I can only lose weight if I exercise with some degree of intensity, and at least 3-5 times a week.
The problem is the motivation! I went jogging to the park today, and I lost all motivation and began walking. I did manage to do some parts jogging, but as soon as I got too tired I just walked again.
How do I motivate myself to push myself to my limits and accomplish a rigorous workout?
This is hard. Any suggestions appreciated.

I would suggest two things. Get a partner you can work with as this will help. Also, try using music while you run. You can focus on that and not the running and maybe that can help out as well.

I have never jogged but i do walk every day, If you walk at a fast pace it is good for you. and it might be helpful for you to start walking, and then build it up to a jog that way you body will get used to it. Then you will be able to jog at the pace that you want to. I try to walk for at least 1 hour in the early morning, and then again in the evening but i just keep it at a pace that i can handle. another good way to build up your stamina is to put on some music and dance around. I usually put some on when I'm in the kitchen cooking, When my grandkids come over and see me they get a kick out of it, and most times i can get them to join in. anything that gets your heart rate up is good for weight loss
