So I don't like working out. I don't like sweating. I don't like being tired and I don't like anything to do with it. Unfortuntely for me I have to work out because I need to lose weight. I start working out and then I get lazy. I do have a full time job and a husband, but no kids. I always feel too tired to work out. So how do some of you overcome the need not to work out?

i used to love to work out .. but now i don't .. i don't have the time for it .. or maybe I'm just too lazy to do it .. i have to loose some around the west ..once i was shopping for a dress and the girl that was working over there she told me ..OMG are you pregnant? i told her :- no I'm just fat ..
so please amoora don't let your self go ,cause i didn't notice it until i had that comment and then i started diateing .. cause if i want to loose weight i diet .. it's easier for me ..
i know i didn't encourage you yet .. i have couple ideas maybe you will like some of them
why don't you work up in front of the t.v
or maybe when you listen to your favorite play list
you could work out wile you're talking to your friend .. so you wont feel the time pass by
or maybe you could work out with someone els .. with a neighbor maybe ..lol
and don't forget to eat healthy and drink green tea.. it helped me before ..and put a picture of a slim girl as your screen saver .. so it will encourage you to lose some weight cause you can think of it as your goal weight..
and you should have three meals a day so that will trick you body to burn more ...
so have more meals but less calories .. what you think ?

That is horrible that the girl said that to you!! You are not fat :-P I think it is good idea to work out while I am talking. I will never drink green tea. I have tried many times but it doesn't work for me. It is nasty. Actually no that isn't true. I got this green tea with camomile in it and it tastes very good but I have to make it with milk or I can drink it. And I also add two spoons full of suger. I think after all that then I lost the nutritional value of the green tea. I try to work out with a neighbor but since we both work full time and live in the tri-state area, we are just exhausted when it is time to work out. After deal with a work and traffic. Thanks for your comment

I too have to work out, even if I don't feel like it.
What motivates me is because I have a goal. You should try to have a goal of yourself. Like if you lose this much then you give yourself a gift, or treat yourself to the spa or something not-food-related.
If you don't post yourself a good goal (something reachable and can be monitored weekly) then it would make you feel excited to do so. Plus, involve your hubby so that the two of you can go together. I actually go with my parents, so we motivate each other.
Good luck!

Thanks for your response. I can't get my husband to work out with me because he is always working. :-S He also says he doesn't like the gym in our building and so he doesn't ever want to work out with me. Yes it isn't the biggest gym, but it has awesome equipment. The problem is there is only one treadmill, one elipitical machaine, one bike and some weights. I also have a goal, but I have a love for food. I feel sometimes that I live to eat. So I am trying to change that but it seems to be cause me to eat more. I will continue to try to remember my goal before I binge on food. The rewards thing is a cool idea, I will try that. Maybe that will encourage me. Although my husband offered me a shopping spree if I lose the weight but the goal doesn't seem legit.
