Do You Regret Any Of Your Piercings? Or Regret Not Getting Any?

I have got my tongue, my lip, my ears and my belly button pierced.
I adore piercings, but think I am growing out of them a little. I expanded my ear to a 5mm hole when I was 15, then took it out 4 days later because I thought it was too common. I did miss it however. My ears healed up and I had them re-pierced.
I got my tonuge pierced when I was 16, then 6 months later I had my belly button done. I liked that, but it got infected, then got ripped out, and regretted that because now I have a nasty scar. I recently (around October 2008) got my lip pierced on the left hand side. I loved it, and still do. But tonight I decided I wasn't as happy with it anymore, so have taken it out. I am beginning to wonder if it was a bad decision, but it has already healed so there would be nothing I could do. My friend who has had her lip pierced in 2 places for over two years has also recently decided to take hers out permenantly. My tongue, I believe will be there a long time, as I don't even realise I have it.
Do you have any interesting piercings? Do you have any piercing distaster stories? Do you HATE piercings and why? Or do you wish you had the nerve to get something pierced but are just too scared of the consequences?

I've had quite a few piercings before and I had to take almost all of them out. I always seem to have allergic reactions to the jewelry and keep getting infections and it just takes more time than it is worse. The piercings that I miss the most are the snakebites I used to have in my lip. :(

If you ask for 316LVM medical implant grade medal you shouldn't have a reaction to it. Now you will ONLY find this at a top of the line piercing studio. Most places sell you the junk stuff and all the novelty jewelry (as in things with dangles or the really "pretty" stuff) One in 800,000 people have a small reaction to it.
Plus, some place will say that is what they are selling you and it really isn't. You just have to know what a good studio is and most the time people do not realize what kind of place they are at.

I actually have allergic reactions to basically all metals except 100% real gold, have done since I was a little girl. My piercer IS a top of the line piercer who has a fantastic reputation where I live. Some people do actually have allergies to specific metals no matter what it is.

I don't regret any of my piercings. I have 2 holes in my tongue, my nose done, I forget the name of it but the flap right before the inner ear, and my belly is done.

I am a professional body piercer so I have many stories of piercings that would make most people laugh or puke...
I personally have 24 piercings, 3 in my navel (two on the bottom and one on the top) my lip in the middle (I hate things off to the side) and the rest in my ears. I had over 40 piercings at one time. My ears were stretched to almost an inch and then the 4 piercings in my lobes up were all stretched. I did actually go to a plastic surgeon and have him cut the skin from my ears and stitch up my plugs in my first holes. The rest have closed down to 12g earrings. I took some out just because. I had no reason and didn't think I was growing out of them, I just decided to do something different. I had my nose pierced, but my hubby really didn't think that was all that cute, so I took it out. I didn't care for it anyway.

I never had any regrets with my piercing as I only has a pair of ear piercing. However, I have ever thought of getting another pair of ear piercing. I have never think of piercing anywhere else other than on my ears. I think that its just too paining to withstand during and after piercing.

I don't regret any of my piercings, but my first nose piercing sucked! It was done wrong and got infected. However,when I got the second side done I had a different piercer and she did a great job. She also did my naval and I honestly didn't know she'd done it until she said done. My next piercing will probably be my other tregus. I'm just waiting for my recent gauge to heal a bit more. Then I'll be doing my septum.

i have an industrial, tragus, nose, septum, 10mm holes. i love them all, but my ears are messed up. i used to have 15 holes in my ears but got tired of them one day and took them all out. When they healed they all got infected and have large bumps/cycists on them now. i have to drain them every so often but they always come back. Now my industrial is going it and i'm regretting getting it now. ive had it for years and now hurts for no realize. i just seem to go through these moments were i don't want mental in my body anymore but if they were gone they i would miss them more.

i did have ears pierced but they are closed now and on the body i don't agree with it whatsoever but each to there own i would not do it even if someone payed me a million dollars take care happy mylotting
