100 pounds is not such a big amount with which you would have much choices ..u cant buy land or much gold so only investment option remains is Stocks... My advise would be to go for mutual fund route to invest if ur not used to investing in stocks ( that what i believe in because if u were then prob u would have invested by now)I know stocks are very down and u shd invest them in now for a period of 3 to 4 yrs and reap harvest then .. now out the money in 4 or 5 different reputed mutual funds who put money in different kind of industries so go in for the funds who invest in say 20 for infrastructure, 20 for different fund which invest In IT, and so on.. Just chk that the fund is reputed and dont put money with someone who dont have gr8 reputation in market or u can directly go for a blue chip stocks
