I used to LOVE Yahoo! Answers, it used to serve the same purpose to me as MyLot does now - pass the time, figure out the answers to seemingly unanswerable questions..Only, MyLot pays you to do pretty much the exact same thing. :)
Did you originally come from Yahoo! Answers? What "level" were you on? I was on the 3rd level with a 18% Best Answer rate. Thinking back now, if I originally started at MyLot instead of Yahoo! Answers, I'd probably be much better off. :)
Does/did anyone else used to love Yahoo! Answers, or is it just me?

I came from Yahoo Answers, and to me, they are each different in their own way. They have different formats, and they each serve a different purpose for me!
When I just want information and straight answers I go to Yahoo Answers, and when I want to communicate and discuss, I go to Mylot! The money has no bearing for me!
I have friends on both sites, and I enjoy both sites equally!

Actually it has been a little beneficial for me.
Of course I never ask anything I *need* to know. That's what the rest of the internet is for. I wouldn't rely on other people that might not know what they're talking about. I also wouldn't ask things that could affect my life - e.g., should I get a tattoo? That's what friends are for. I ask my closest friends those kinds of things.
but Yahoo! answers are pretty fun if you want opinions. It's interesting to find out what other people *think* about things. I never take them totally seriously, but it's very interesting.
and yes, they do come up in search pretty often. They do help to some extent, but again, I don't rely on those answers.

I agree. For close-ended questions or logical questions, there's really no point in asking it on Yahoo Answers (or even MyLot), because ONE correct answer will suffice. When I used to go on Yahoo Answers, I'd ask open-ended questions having to do with personal opinion - that way there was more to actually discuss & it wasn't something I immediately need an answer to.
