A lot of us experience stress from work and other worries in this life. And, sometimes, we tend to get sick when we are stressed-out.
What do you do to relieve stress? Do youhave any anti-stress program or relaxation techniques?
Please share. Thanks.

Hello my friend djoyce71 Ji,
I understand stressed life is due to many factors on day to day life, where an
individual starve for full satisfaction, may be due different relationships, may be due
to hardships perating to social/financial/professional/etc. factors. But one has to
become care-free and never compare with others. I have some thing , which if followed
would make worryless and then stress free. may god bless you and have a great time.
Here are those :-
SATSANG
(a) ”If you can balance /stable your mind, when people around you are in un-balanced , and at the same time blaming you”. (NO-reaction)
(b) “If you have belief on yourself, when others have doubt and at the same time, you strongly oppose their belief of their doubt”
(c) “If you can wait for Good/Bright days without loosing patience/getting disheartened of waiting”.
(d) “Everyone around you is deceiving you , whereas you are not in any way.”
(e) “ Every body hates you and you do not, at the same time, you ARE not proud to be ‘good’ and ‘wise’.
(f) “ If you Can dream, but do not allow them to overpower you, and you Can ‘think’ but at the same time, do not plunge into dreams of ‘thinking”.
(g) “If you can welcome ‘gains’ and ‘defeat’ OR ‘profit’ & ‘loss’ with open hearts and they do not unbalance your mind”.
(h) “If you can accept your own words in twisted/mutilated /distorted form, happily by ‘fools’ and they do not involve you in their bad plans”.
(i)“ If you Can bear/tolerate the ‘gains’ accomplished by you ‘raise
to ashes’ , for which you took whole life to build, and at the same time you can once again order your tired hands to restart making”.
(J) “ If you can take one chance to reduce your gains in your life, ‘loose’ or ‘gain’ (like a great gambler)
(k) “If you can, after loosing every bit in your life, get ready fresh to obtain the same with total energy from all corners of your body and mind, without uttering a single word even”.
(l)“ If you Can compel your heart, mind and limbs, when they are so tired and refuse to accept any thing, except that your ‘belief’ and ‘desire’ to order them that they have to march forward and not falling back”.
(m) “ If you can roam in crowds, but do not allow your ‘thoughts’ and ’abilities’ to wander stray, and you live with emperor, but do not neglect common man “.
(n) “ If you are unharmed by people loving you and people hating you”.
(o)“ If you Can respect everybody within the limits, but at the same time nobody”.
(p)“ IF YOU CAN REMEMBER THE UN-EXCUSED MOMENT/SECOND (time) OF YOUR LIFE, AND EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR THE SAME”.
Then, the whole world belongs to you only and every thing that exists on this, at the same time you fall under the category of ‘ACTUAL HUMAN BEING ’, which is greatest achievement in the life than any thing else”.

There are some exercises that help release stress. The simplest is just stop working and take time to release tension. I do some exercise that are helpful in releasing stress. The simplest one is by inhaling as deep as you can while resting your mind. I also go for regular massage sessions where I truly find relaxation from a stressful day. But one stress buster that I truly enjoy is going out of town and go to a place I find to be a perfect hideaway where I can relax and breathe some fresh air.

I no longer work, but could give you a very good tip. If you are fond of animals, then just have a pet. More so a female doggie. Why female doggie? Because they are more good for a family. Then get totally involved in looking after her. And then, bingo...you'll feel a lot better. They do help us to forget all our troubles.

I just take really long warm showers. That really helps me relax immensely. It's comforting being underneath the warm water and just let the tension melt away. I haven't had the chance lately, but when I do, it's nice to meditate too. That really helps me relax too. It helps me let things go and stuff just doesn't bother me much anymore when I get the chance to meditate.

I just went through a very stressful time this past month, from Jan 14th to Feb 16. Long story short my b/f, well ex b/f informed me he wanted to 'move on, alone'. However, we lived together for that period of time while I took care of business and stuff so that I could get moved. My stress reliever, I would put on my favorite music, turn on my wireless headphones and scrapbook. Scrapbooking got me through the times that I wasn't busy with packing and sorting and running errands.

Sorry for that time of your life. I hope you got through with it already.
I have done scrapbooking before and have enjoyed doing it. I've been busy and did not have time for it for the past months. It's a good hobby, too. You tend to forget some of life's worries. Thanks for sharing.

There are lots of ways to relieve stress. Personally, i do take a refreshing shower. I don't know but it somehox relaxes my mind. Maybe it conditions my mind to take things slow and start well. I do listen to music too which leads me to another stress reliever, sleep. When at work, i guess chewing something may relax you a bit. Or you can drink refreshing drinks just to cool down. I guess the ways just varies from person to person in a way that the degree is not effective to some.

Hi djoyce! As I've said in some of my responses similar to this one I always do Yoga to relieve my self from stress. Other things that I do is listen to music. Some times I watch some DVDs. And I always drink tea whenever I wanna relax whatever I do whether yoga, listening to music, or watching DVDs. I love tea specially green tea. It refreshes me a lot. have a nice day!!

Hello joyce I have a solution in your stress problem. I hope it works; 1. try to have a favorite pet or pets if you're a pet lover. 2. Try to go to the beach with your hubby,( of course on good weather) you don't need to take a swim. Look for a place where you can sit, leaning your back, close your eyes and listen to the sound of the waves at the seashore. Do it without thinking of anything but just listen to the waves..
3. If you don't have time or you're far away from any beach in your place, buy a sound effect dvd or cd. See to it that it has a waves sound effect..do the listening at your home...I hope it could help cheers...

Hello djoyce71! ^_^ Stress is really a part of our everyday life. To manage it, I just eat chocolates! yum! ^_^ The darker the better! ^_^ Chocolates are known to be one of the childhood foods which are a symbol for nurturing. For example, Crying kids are stress of crying but when you give them chocolates, they turn to be happy. ^_^ I also watched horror movies. I considered it as my stress reliever. I don't know why? hehehe..

To handle stress, I go to the spa. I love getting a massage. It's so relaxing. Sometimes I go the parlor to get a haircut or a hair treatment. My favorite is getting a scalp massage. Have you tried the ear candling? It's one of the relaxation techniques I've tried that works too.

I like to write, read or listen to music or audiobooks if I'm stressed. I'll go to a free event or chat and hangout with actual or virtual friends. My new bedtime ritual, which I love, is having a cup of cocoa and chilling with a book or the TV for half an hour (no work allowed) then going off to dreamland.

If I'm stressed out I usually go out for a walk alone.
Visit a secluded place, specially the beach or any nature
spot to think things out. I talk to myself, what is wrong with
my life. How can I make things better. It really helps me this
way to cope my problems and things that worries me.

Hi djoyce! I just normally listen to some of my favourites song, I don't know why, but it does help me feel relaxed after a while. Sometimes I also play games at the same time and I try to keep my mind busy. One day, I would like to learn to do meditation because I've heard that this is very good to relieve stress.
