I have not yet seen the movie and I really wanna see it now. For those who have seen it, does it really deserve to won 8 Oscar? I didn't watch the Oscar's last night and I really wanted to, but I fell asleep because it was on late here due to time differences. I just checked the winners online this morning and this what I see. Congrats to Heath Ledger also and all the other winners. So, is India in party mode now? lol.

Absolutely Cjay! India is celebrating its 3 Oscars. A R Rahman, My favorite deserved this long time back with his better original scores but I guess, Oscar has its own categories and criteria. Congratulations to him, to Rusel K to Danny Boyle and his wonderful team. The posthumous Oscar for Heath ledger was captured in most poignant of moods when his parents ans sister walked up to the podium. Kate Winslet got it this time when everyone was betting on Meryl Streep, my favorite. I just finished watching the ceremony and in absolute joy. I have watched the film, twice. And I loved it even though I have loved many similar films in our country. Its no different except from some edges. I think it overdid some aspects and you would feel the same for you have also spent time in Mumbai. I would not go into the movie in detail but its certainly a matter of great pride for all. Congratulations to the team! Do watch and let me know. I will review it later after you have watched it, May be in mail.

It really feels great and is a proud moment Cjay. I did watch a part of the ceremony and hope to catch up with the rest of it later today as they will be repeating the telecast. I'm yet to see the movie and would be doing so some time in the next few days. The enthusiasm now to watch the movie is definitely much more.Oh yes they are having a blast here, and everyone just seems to talking about the movie and along wih another short documentary by the name Smile Pinky, which won an oscar.

I'm not sure if I have seen some of the movies that are in the same category of Slumdog Millionaire, but winning 8 Oscar's says a lot though. Thanks, riya.

Dude! What a question? This movie does deserve all these credits. Its not a kind of movie where the Elite people normally works. This is something different,Can you Imagine 9 Children from the SLums of Mumbai have walked through the Red Carpet.Isn't it amazing!Hats of to Danny Boyle for giving chances to those Slum dwellers, which has changed their life from the Slums to the Red Carpet.Im so happy for our Music Maestro A.R Rehman,he is rocking everywhere. His Tamil lines(Yella Puzhalum Eeravanuka)which means(All Praises to The Almighty) indeed show his passion towards his native place.I watched the Oscars lively from the Television and I have seen SlumDog Millionaire 4 times as of now.

Sorry about the Question as I haven't seen the movie yet and its just curiosity, but I've heard a lot of good things about the movie. And considering it won 8 Oscar means a lot . It gives me goose bump imagining the 9 Children walking through Red Carpet and its indeed a proud moment. I missed to watch Oscar and I don't think they do repeat here, but I will definitely watch the movie. Thanks, davinchris, and congrats again .

You avatar is A.R Rehman, . I actually see his performance in Oscar singing "Sayo" and "Jai-Ho". I could not say more about the music as I don't know what it means and they only play the song in a short period of time. Thanks, karubod.

I have read the reviews of this movie. I have not seen it so far. However, I firmly believe that it has something special and outstanding, that is why it has been awarded so many Oscar awards. I believe the selection process is quite a tricky and tough one and a movie is not selected for an award, till it goes through many rounds of rigorous analysis.

Hello cjay. I have seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire and for me it's a great movie. It shows what people do to survive in this life and to get what they dream of. Like in our country, we see a lot of poor people (young and old) trying so hard to earn money for a living and survive. Some of them gets lucky and some just fails. You should watch it and you'll see. It happens in our country.

I did see this movie and I really did enjoy it, however I had no interest in seeing this movie until it cleaned up at the oscars. I had to see it then to see what the big deal was? I was very pleased with this film. It is a Love Story but a very different love story and It is well told! Having said that, I guess it is Oscar worthy tho there are several other films that were nominated I personally preferred to this one.

I was also curious about slumdog millinaire. So finally last night I watched it with my friends and we are very impressed with its wonderful story and screenplay, it was amazing actually and really deserved an Oscars. It was more beautiful than Benjamin Button.

hi slumdog really deserves the award their garnering right now from a low budgeted a film it enters the oscar wt pride of their works. its really touching movie u see the kids surviving in this harsh world. lots of trials they withered. the brother wether his bad but his intention to his brother is good. im sadden because of the hardship they face while growing up. at the very young age they lost their mother and pitted their selves in surviving of the fittest. i talk to one indian passenger of mine and ask his opinion about that movie and he says its a a low budget movie but now its making its wave to oscar. he said that story is really happening in india. that movie really deserves to win an oscar. congratulations to all the people who work hard for making this movie. more awards to come and im really happy for your success.
