I never felt comfortable telling lies and refrain from doing so.

I also know a few people who lie like its a part of their daily routine. Some even enjoy fooling others. Here are some types of liars - 1] people who brag and lie about themselves. 2] people who like to fool others with their lies. 3] some people lie in order to cheat or scam. 4] some lie in order to avoid humiliation. 5] some even lie to help others. 6] some lie unknowingly What are your views about telling lies.

i am also uncomfortable while telling lies.sometimes when i lie because i think the truth may hurt someone i feel so guilty about it that i think telling the truth is better.

The truth is always better. Even if you lie in order to not hurt someone, you still won't be doing him any good.

Not only do I not like it, but I am bad at it. I practically smile if I even try lying, because my cheekbones go up when I lie.

The same thing used to happen to me when I tried to lie for fun or joke (without causing harm). But now I have become more strict and don't lie for fun or joke. I don't think its right to tell a lie in order to make others laugh.

I rarely lie about much of anything unless it's a lil white lie as to say why I didn't get the laundry done or something trivial. Though alot of the points you mentioned are why I am no longer friends with my best friend from high school & hardly talk to another for her unusual answers to things. The first friend got me a job @ her work and then she scammed them out of some money!!!!!!!!!!!! Then you know who they started asking bout what I knew of her actions........ nothing. I had no idea what or why she was doing this and I had known her for half of my life at that point. Then alot of things she asked started to make sense like asking for a car pmt money so they didn't repo her car um yeah come to find out you have to miss several payments before they start that process. & No I didn't lend her the money as keeping myself afloat was enough to handle. But for someone who always seemed to have it togeather it was a pile of lies... so other than a holiday card I do not communicate with her. Then the other friend makes no sense either. Only calls when something big & tragic happens as we've grown appart alot over the yrs. But still calls me her best friend though we hardly talk and only e-mail from time to time. Just some things make no sense like why she didn't marry the guy she's living with... he has no i.d. common sense would say go get a new one issued.... well the bills are not in his name & you need a utility bill ect in his name for proof of address.... so she's been with him for almost 3 yrs and he can't get an id?!?! makes no sense to me. I just wish they'd get a clue that it's better to be straight forward than BS your way thru life and your relationships.

I don't lie. I think that one lie leads to another lie and before you know it..your whole life becomes a lie. I would rather not say anything at all versus a lie. They are not healthy an never lead to anything good.

I do not know of a person who has not spoken a lie knowingly or unknowingly. The only and the thin dividing line is that the lie told has harmed anyone or not.If it has not then it's OK with me and if it has helped someone all the better.

teto300tareq I also thought in the same lines. I was thinking about a few crickters who first abuse others then later appologize. Then they do it again. But pickwick does not hurt anyone with her lies.

Lying is an art, you know. You have to remember what you lied about, so that you don't get caught. I have a bad memory, so I would rather not lie. One of my colleagues is simply amazing - many times we caught her in a lie; yet she could be so brazen and not feel embarrassed at all.

Most of them do think of lying as an art. Some are so good that you will trust him rather than a person telling the truth.

I have experienced number 1)people who brag and lie about themselves. And what more, it was a "friend" of mine who, not constantly but almost constantly brag about what she owns and what her uncle or so works as...I think all that she had told me was bull, becuse i can tell when people are lying to you. Sometimes, the things she tells me is so ridiculous, she thinks that i'm a complete idiot to have believed her. I was so irritated and angry with her for continuieng to lie about herself when i already accept her the way she is...In the end i didn't want to hang out with her anymore...Her lies were too much for me to deal with *rolls eyes

I also don't understand why people need to brag in front of their best friends.
