I've noticed with my two flame point Siamese cats that they always seem to fart when they jump in our laps. My BF mentioned it tonight when Willy jumped in his lap. They aren't just "farts", they are lethal, nasty, smelly killer farts that linger for several minutes making our eyes water! It isn't their food, it just seems like they save the "loving odors" for us! Do you have gas problems with your cat? I know when my grand daughters would pick the cats up they would fart even worse...but I figured it was out of self defense! Anyhow, do you have cat fart problems?

I love cats, have had so many over the years, I have lost count, but no, I've never had a problem like that. I've never, ever, not once, had a Siamese, though. I prefer the alley cat style. I feel for you, though, my three year old son, MrBaby, can let some really bad stinkers go, and those are bad enough. You have two doing that for you.

There is one rule in my house...with four cats and four dogs...NEVER light a match with a dog or cat in close proximity!
Murphy, my Lynx Point Siamese lady, is the top farter of the family. It was last winter (when it's too cold to have the windows open) and that sweet little lady passed a fart that nearly killed both my BF and myself! We ran out of air freshener trying to eliminate the smell. And, of course, I was on the phone with a friend when Murphy let it rip...all my friend could do is laugh because they have had the same problem with their Pit/Lab mix! Now I get to babysit that same dog, and there have been some awesome odors come from that dog!
I've had some alley style cats that have cleared the house...I swear that they keep the gas on hold until they come in contact with their humans!

Change your kitty food it's not digesting properly You can add some yogurt if they will eat it or a digestive enzyme to help them digest. The point being they shouldn't be doing this and since both are I'd change the food first. Maybe the food they are getting is to rich. Cats should not get grains, they are meat eaters and need very little vegatation.

I am sorry to hear you don't have your cat any more. Once we have a loving animal with us, it is impossible to go without a pet. I would be lost without my pets.

I have had cats most of my life but this is the first time we got a Siamese. We adopted her from a local cat rescue and I have not heard her fart yet. I can imagine that is kind of funny if they are not very smelly.
