Have you tried that? Ice cream on top of your favorite soda like Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, SevenUp and the like. Mcdonalds has something like that called the COKEFLOAT and I just love it. It is one of my favorite drinks there. Whenever I go to Mcdonalds I always buy one. It is really addictive. But since times have been hard I kind of cut down on buying Coke Float. So I just improvise at home. How about you? Do you like to mix Ice Cream with Softdrinks?

I absolutely agree. I was reading the replys and I saw yours and I thought finally, someone else agrees with me. Yes they have been around for years. Rootbeer Floats, Coke Floats. We used to make them when we were kids ourselves. Did you ever try making a float with orange soda and vanilla ice cream. Yummm a creamscycle. Hmmmmm I hope McDonalds isn't taking credit for this favorite from the past.

I do recommend that you try it at Mcdonalds. Or, you can create one yourself. It's just really easy. And you might even just like it.

Yes I love McDonalds cokefloat. I am very addict with that product because it is so delicious and it fits the summer I am feeling here in Philippines. I like drinking that since even if it is still February the weather here is so hot just like summer. I find it quite unfair because sometimes the ice cubes are more than the coke and the ice cream so I always ask the cashier to put less ice on it. I have bought two cokefloats for this month alone because my husband always buys coke in 1.5 liters and a separate ice cream. He said they are more practical. But I can't find a plain vanilla ice cream like that in McDonalds so I still go for their cokefloat. I still share with my husband's coke and ice cream at home though and he just laugh at me because I always tell him I want a cokefloat.

I live in the Philippines too! hehe. And yeah cokefloat is quite popular here in our country. They put too much ice that is why like you, I always tell the crew to lessen the ice content on my cokefloat. It's also good to improvise even if it's not exactly the cokefloat in mcdonalds.

i love the cokefloat thingy, but i find it so not fair. coz the ice in the coke float is too many, therefore the soda isnt that much. [; so i just always buy, sundae and coke. [;

Yeah I sooo agree. That's the bad thing about it. The ice in the cokefloat are just too many. The name should be ICEFLOAT instead. Lol. hahaha

hahaha [; ice float sounds cool. but instead of a sundae on top, the sundae should be under the ice?! hahahahaha i cant even barely imagine. hihih!

Yes I think that is more advisable now especially since times are hard. And homemade always tastes good especially if you made it yourself.

I have always loved coke floats. I don't like in it other softdrinks nearly as much as in coke. They were just made for each other. When I was growing up, we had a lot of coke floats along the way. McDonald's hasn't discovered anything new by any means. I haven't had one from McDonald's yet. I'm like you...I've been doing a lot of improvising at home these days...and I think I'll go make a coke float right now.

I don't buy coke floats but I usually drink a coke after eating ice-cream. Isn't that funny? It's nearly if not the same thing. I drink a coke to wash down the sweet taste of ice-cream. Coke taste pretty bland after eating an ice-cream. With all the sugars in both these things, I am pretty lucky I'm not a diabetic.

Yeah I ordered lately this softdrink and at first look they seem not to be compatible with each other but as you mixed them up the taste seemed to complement each other.

Yes this could be nice, I have tried this also at home, and what's nice is I can just experiment on what ice cream we have and mix it with soft drinks. I like to have strawberry float with Sprite or Seven Up , It's good.

There is nothing better than a rootbeer float. I suppose strawberry soda and vanilla ice cream would be good also, I'll have to try it. But for me it's Barq's and Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla float.

I Have not had the one at McD's but I have had a coke float. I have also had a rootbeer float and a Dr Pepper float. Love them all!! My favorite would have to be Dr Pepper float though just because I am a huge DP fan. I have never thought to try strawberry soda though I bet that would be very good. Not sure about sprite or 7up though. Cream soda may make a good float too. I think Pepsi is already too sweet so I don't think it needs ice cream too.
