SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE has done it for India, not one not two not three but eight Oscars, nominated in Ten won Eight. Wow isn't that more than just incredible for a country like India, which has such a long history of Movies but neva won the Oscars. Its just as great a news as India winning the Cricket World Cup in 1983. Now if we just move on from the euphoria of the Film, I would like to say that after the dastardly terrorists attacks in Mumbai, this came as a wonderful breather for the people of Mumbai and India at large. This film does prove that no matter what be the adversity LOVE will find its way and Life will move on........ Triple cheers for the makers of Slumdog Millionaire and to the wonderful people of India........

I agree there is nothing great in the movie,Its a simple story boy meets girl, boy looses girl and boy wins girl, to be frank I don't even watch Hindi movies, I think they are a waste of time. But what I enjoyed was those slums, someone came from outside of India, with a different perspective, made a film on the slums, and made it in such a way that it won 8 Oscars , the record is 11 Oscars won by three films before. Isn't that a little interesting, doesn't that proves that the people in Bollywood are so busy making money, that they don't see whats in their backyard. Isn't it more than jus hypocritical that only the star sons and star daughters are the ones who get in films and people still are happy to spend money on them. Thats where my happines lies about SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE.I don't care who made it, whether it was Indian or not. I care what it was made on.And the last pictute said it all when those children walked on the RED CARPET with the biggest stars on the Planet, and NOT THOSE STAR SONS AND DAUGHTERS. Kudos to Slumdog Millionaire Bravo Hail Danny Boyle.......
