What if you only have half hour...

you need to make something which takes you more than half hour, does it make you nervous and cannot meet the normal standard taste? Yesterday I was making pastry before we went somewhere, it doesn't take me long but I only had half hour, it was just rush. I was glad that it finally came out good and I got good comments :-)

Hi Mermaidivy, Yes, I have been rushed many times when it comes to cooking. I love to cook and bake and I consider myself to be quite good. Like you, I could cook something within a half hour if it required a little more time. It is all in being organized and lowering the prep time because many times it is difficult to shorten the cooking time. You can shorten the cooking time by increasing the temperature a little, 5 degrees may take 5-8 minutes off the cooking time. I have had to do this many times and will do again. Here's to cooking!

I don't like to be rushed when cooking. If I only had one half hour, I would probably not make anything and wait until I had the time to do it. If it were for dinner, we would go to a drive thru.

Let's see, YeS. A half hour is just enough time to stop at the store on the way and grab something readymade. Or, make something and store it in your freezer for those spur of the moment times.
