What will you do if one day, you are walking on the street and see a purse on the floor, you pick up the purse and find 3000 in it. well i think everyone will be tempted to keep the purse, if noone is around and there is no ID card in it. Personally i will keep it I think, if there isn't any document and you what will you do?

This actually happened to me once. For the first one, the lady dropped her purse right in front of me. Seeing who owns it, I called upon the lady's attention about her purse. Anyway, if there is no contact information for whom ever owned that wallet, I honestly will just keep it to myself since there is no one legitimate to claim it. But if there would be an ID or any sort of documents, I would gladly give it back.

If i found a purse with full of money first i will look all around and if i dont found the owner of it. Then i will look in the purse for any information for the concerned person and if i don't get info, i will take it and around 50% of amount i will donate for some poor and needy people and the rest of amount i will keep for my self.

If I will find a purse with money of course I will check if there is an ID. If there is one then I will go to the authority and return the purse and all it's content and make sure that the owner gets it. If there is no ID or anything that could trace the owner, I will just keep the purse and the money. I will not use it unless I have a major emergency and then just ask permission from God that I will use the money. I will just think that He gave me that purse for a purpose. Well in this times of crisis it is really hard to earn money. I must say that the great temptation is there but I will never ever get something which is not mine. I am afraid of Karma and I don't want the same thing to happen to me. If I lose something be it money or personal belonging I always want to get it back and be returned to me. So I will definitely do the same.

In my own personal experience, i look if there is any identification card so that i can give it to the person. And since her id was there, i gave it personally to her and she is happy. I don't get tempted if there's a load of money and i am in need badly. What i am thinking always is that God sees me and knows what is in my heart so i am going to be honest no matter what, i live by the rules set by my Father in heaven. And i was brought up by my parents that if it's not yours, don't take it. If you have seen something not yours, ask for people in authority to look for that certain person. So my point of view here is that no matter what, i will give back the wallet or purse to the person who owns it.

If it was THAT much money, until the statue of limitations is up (the time that it takes for the owner to get his/her money back if lost), i'd do extensive research onto who owned the money in the first place. If the purse had any personal information such as a name, address, phone number, email address, etc, then i'd let them know in advance that i've found their purse with that amount of money. If there isn't any personal info on there, then i'd have to turn it into the police, but i'd be careful if I were you, and i'd do this as a last resort because the police would think I stole it or something.

I actually once found a wallter full of money but with many IDs in a bookstore. It scared me for fear of being entrapped or whatever foolish things done on me. I was also afraid of being caught by CCTV cameras and be jailed instead. I gave it to the security guard while many staffs of the store were watching.

if there was id in it i would return it without question. if i lost my purse and it had money in it i would hope the person who found it would do the same. what goes around comes around so i think it is always best to do the right thing. if there was no id in it and i had no way of knowing who to get it back to then yes i would keep it because if you turn it in to the cops they are only going to keep it themselves so you might as well benefit from it instead of lining their pockets.

I had experienced this kind of situation many times already.. The first one is in the mall together with my mother.. I saw a money in the floor when we are at the mall.. I told my mother about the money that I saw, it was a 1000pesos bill (about $20). Well actually my mother had step the money unaware.. When I told my mother about that money, she pick the money and I told her that she must not pick it because its not her money.. But she told me that "finder keepers".. Well, I cannot do anything since she's my mother.. Then the next was in our school field.. I was walking in the garden when i saw a brand new cellphone in the ground.. I picked up the cellphone and brought it in the "Lost and Found Office"... Of course, I didn't get that cellphone because I know that my conscience will keep on bother me.. Then an old lady had fell her wallet unaware. I picked her wallet and run after her to tell her that she fell her wallet.. She's so thankful that I'm the one who saw her wallet fell because if other people who isn't kind like me maybe they won't give it back to her.. Then last last experienced that I've encounter was in the ATM..I was in the back busy texting my sister.. Then I didn't noticed what happen all the people in front of me who was supposed to withdraw their money in the ATM had left.. I didn't thought that the machine was broken.. So, I still go on and withdraw some money..When I had inserted my ATM card, the machine won't accept it and when I look at the screen, it stated there that "please take your money".. Of course, i didn't take the money.. I just leave it there and I'm trying to find the person who was supposed to own that money but I didn't see him already.. So, I just waited until the machine will take the money back.. Then that's the time I withdraw my own money.. I had told this thing to my sister but she told me that I should take that money since it will still going to minus..I told her I can't take it because I'm scared.. When that incident happened honestly, I was so confused on what do I need to do..I was so scared that time and my heart keep beeping very fast..

I will keep it for myself for sure, only if there is no any id card, no any documents to identify the owner. But if there is information, I can't do this. I can feel how the owner will be feeling at the moment when he knows that his purse full of money had been lost. And this will not let me be happy with that money. The money will soon finish with time, but the regret I will get from it for the remaining times would be far difficult to tolerate. Nice post GAUCI123... Happy mylotting...

I would turn it in to a police station or the nearest authorities.I think it would be awful to keep anything that is not yours..The people on the other end would be worried, stressful and its just not right. What if that money was to feed someones kids,or pay for a doctors appointment. Its just wrong and I hope whoever finds money will turn it in.

if i have no way to get in touch with the owner,i will keep it i think.and i dont't think it's a good idea to give the purse to police .but if i kown whose purse it is at last,i would give it back.

i would personally keep the money if there were no documents in it and people may say that it's wrong, but let me ask you this. Where would the money go if there were no documents in it? Would you turn it over to a police officer who would pat you on the back and whisper "good job" in your ear while his partner puts the money in his back pocket? There are simply put a myriad of different scenarios that would each bring about a different resolution.

I did find a purse recently. It was in the bathroom at the bookstore. I took the purse to the service desk. I did not bother to look into it. But if I found the purse on the street I would have no idea how to return it, so I would look into the purse to see if there was some identification. If there were no identification I would take it to the police station. The police could hold it to see if someone would claim it. It would not seem right to keep it.

I would look inside to see if there was any form of identification in it. If there was, I would probably return it to the person it belonged to. If there were nothing in there to lead me to an owner, though, I would definitely keep it. I could definitely use $3,000 to help me out right now. As a matter of fact, that would be enough money to pay off my truck and still have a little left over. My truck payment is only about $140, but that would be $140 that I could use to start paying off something else.

I would take it back to the proper authorities and let them deal with it. I know for one thing that If I were to steal it I would feel guilty. Another thing is if it was left in that condition somebody was looking for something out of it, and without the proper documentation maybe that is what they were looking for, and maybe they were doing it to steal the person's identity. Plus it could be a set up for someone else, leaving money in there, who knows if it's good money or if it's money used for illegal things. I guess these are the things that I would worry about when it comes to the money.

I would keep it even if it did have ID in it. haha. Heck, I would take the money and return the purse/wallet back to the ground I found it. After this happened to me, I have no conscience about the issue. Except of course, I only lost 30 dollars, some misc. card things, and some important/non-replaceable pieces of my life with my girlfriend.

I would take the purse to the police department. After so many days (I am not sure how may, I think it might be a month) if know one claims it, I believe then it is yours. With the economy the way it is, that money is someones hard earned money. I have found wallets before with money in them. If I found them in a store, I just take it to the service desk. Some people when they pick their belongings up, they leave a reward for you finding it.
