"If you want to look like Boy Abunda, go to Calayan. If you want to look like Piolo Pascual or Dingdong Dantes, go to Belo Clinic".
- Dra. Vicky Belo during an interview with Mo Twister in Showbiz Central last Sunday.
What do you think guys? Is that Belo the belt? Or it's her Calaya an (freedom) to tell the truth?

I guess it was very uncalled for statement from Dra. Belo. I think she did not intentionally want to hurt Boy during that moment but I guess it was not right for her to downplay Boy's image like that. I think Dra. Belo needs to apologize to Boy about that incident.

I was watching the show when Dr. Belo said that and I was quite at first. But I immediately remember my friends joking about this so I and .
I agree that it is somewhat uncalled but on the back of my mind, I really can't understand the concept of having Boy Abunda endorsing a beauty clinic. Boy Abunda perfume, in my opinion, stinks and now the endorsement? Looks like Boy has not been in touched with reality lately.

I also realized that Belo was looking at it at as a joke. But being a professional doctor herself should watch her mouth because as boy had said they are also people that gets hurt from time to time especially if the joke comes from their ranks or level. I really think that she needs to apologize to Boy because he was hurt in the process. I really do think that it should be easy since Belo and Boy has been close to one another as their world is just the same. I guess Belo has nothing to lose too if she would do it as a sign of goodwill on her part.

I am not a follower to any of them. But the statements of Dr. Vicky Belo is so offensive to Boy Abunda. Dr. Belo should have looked herself up in the mirror before she made that comment. Is she pretty? Absolutely NOT!

It maybe an insult for Boy Abunda to be compared to Dingdong and Piolo when it comes to managing talents or hosting (though Dingdong and Piolo are good hosts actually).
But when it about endorsement of beauty clinics, which is the matter at hand, should it not be the other way around?
Anyways, I agree with you and I can't even believe that Dr. Belo can say such thing in national television though she claimed that she's just joking. I have a good laugh though while I was watching the interview.

Hello eichs1! OMG! I haven't watched this interview. I should've watched it. I guess it turned out to be an insult to Boy Abunda and not to Calayan clinics. We all know that this two clinics are rivals but I guess Dr. Belo shouldn't say it because it's like saying that Boy Abunda is ugly.

I think in my opinion she should maintain her educated status as a doctor even though she's a doctor for celebrities, she should not go down to the level of the showbiz since being a doctor is one of the highest profession. Sometimes there are things left to be unsaid.

HAHA!!! Good times with mo!
Well, come one I think that's an answer plainly to make people laugh. I mean they are adults and of course that is just a comment to loosen up the tension between the two beauty clinics. Both of them are good in my opinion but I haven't really tried Belo nor Calayan. As you can see it's like comparing GMA and ABS CBN. There's no point having an argument about it.
nice discussion though!

Now, you know where to go when you want to try one. If you want to look like Boy Abunda, then... Ooops. I'm also kidding just like Dr. Bello.
I hope both, actually, three of them (Vicky, Boy and the Calayans) have learned something from here. As a talent manager and being in the entertainment business for so long, Boy should have known how others will react with his endorsement of a beauty clinic. The Calayans should also know what they are up to. Does having Boy Abunda as their endorser a good marketing strategy at all? And as for Dr. Belo, it's really funny but not a good joke at all in national television.

hi eichs1 :)
i've watched this one... and i've watched also her interviews from SNN (channel 2 which Boy Abunda tell his side already) i was shocked when Belo told that but she immediate response and followed up a word "am just joking" i dunno what she wants to say but for me on Boy Abunda's side it sounds very offended. :(
am not a client of both cosmetic surgeons but if you'll analyze and on how to react on Dra. Belo's statement i think comparing the two customers have a far on distinguishing the results of the two Boy Abunda vs DingDong Dantes/Piolo Pascual right? i dunno let's just wait for the answer of Dra. Belo on Boy Abunda's statement last night at SNN :D

I think this will be the start of another word war... i just read the interview of both Vicky Belo and Boy Abunda... and i am still waiting at what the Calayans will say regarding Vicky's statement... but for sure it will be fun to read about this... with all the talk about rubouts, alabang boys, and corruptions... we need something funny to watch for a change...

i am not on either sides but just like the rest, i think that doctor vicky belo's comment was inappropriate and very unprofessional. she shouldn't have said anything like that because those words stab like a knife not only to boy abunda but to doctor calayan as well. i think you shouldn't discriminate anyone just because your better in some aspect. we all have something better than the others and i think it's really low if we brag about that.

Man that's one hilarious comment by Dr. Belo, I'm sure she's only joking about that, no offense meant. The Calayans are pretty good doctors also in my opinio, nah she's just being funny, I think professionals don't do low balling stuff like that so I say that's only a joke.

Well, I am not a fan of either sides. Anyway, I think Belo should not make any statements like that. I have just viewed SNN and Boy Abunda was very much offended by Belo's statement. Boy gave his side of the story and very much disappointed for Belo.

I have read this news on Gmanews website and i was laughing about what she told Mo on that. Important is she said, it was a joke.
I don't know if Boy would be feeling irritated about it but it is true also. What is wrong of telling the truth ,sometimes it will hurt us, but that is what she said, she said it's a joke.
Anyway i don't have any idea about these skin clinics and i don't have to go on which side too. All i can say is that we have a freedom of speech too.
