Dracula is a real person in history, but the story of him maybe artificial.I think the legend is out of dread instead of earning money.

It was originally a book by Bram Stoker, the character was apparently inspired by Vlad the impaler. Myths about vampires have been around for thousands of years though all different cultures tell different ones.

There are many myths surrounding vampires, dracula, and the like. You'll find that the myth of vampires has crossed into many, if not all cultures.
The story of Dracula, as written by Brahm Stoker was originally a play first. It was only later written into a novel.
It's interesting that popular mythos has created this legend around Vlad Tepses that never really was true nor validated. Oh, there have been numerous studies around the man, volumes of books written on him, but he wasn't a vampire. The most likely explanations that account for some of the myths was that his body was not admitted into the church for burial as he was excommunicated. (Political reasons). His head very well may have been taken by the Turks as a trophy, which would account for the myths about chopping of a vampire's head.
I think the best thing to do in these types of things is just what you are doing, researching and comparing the notes.
