A friend of mine have been in a relationship with this guy and within a week her sister had slept and had an affair with her boyfriend, My question is could you forgive your sister? Should both sisters not see the boy? could you ever regain a sister relationship with your sister if this happened?

I cannot, it is so hurting. How could the sister do that, though we hear of such stories not for the first time. From the bottom of my heart, i would never see them again, but for the sake of the mother, maybe on festival occasion, i would accept meeting them in my mother's home. That's all. For such people, i doubt if their affair could last long. Love sacrificing the feeling of their family members is not accepted. The evil feeling may hurt themselves too, and the relationship of the younger generation. So be very careful about it, if anyone is in similar trouble.

Hi, Well. Time will possibly 'heal'....Initially fight & seperation between sisters expected. Future will decide who is LUcky? But,the Bf will not be EXCUSED ultimately, he will be cursed from both ends, that's Sure! =Lahiri,Kolkata,India.

Whoah! That's a tricky one! We have all heard the saying 'blood is thicker than water', but I'm unsure if I would be able to forgive even a blood relative in that situation. I suppose it depends on the age and maturity of all involved to a degree, but then, if they are old enough to be sleeping with others, they should be responsible enough to understand the consequences of their actions. Neither of the sisters should ever see the boy again. It's his fault too. For the sanity of the rest of the family, I would sort it out with my sister - but deep down, I don't know that I could ever really, truly forgive her. I have been in a similar situation myself before - with a boyfriend and best friend. I ceased contact with both of them and never looked back. It is much harder to deal with when it is a family member though.
