I make mini pizzas at home for my kids. I use Pillsbury Grand Biscuits, flatten them out, add my sauce, toppings and cheese and bake accordingly to the biscuit packaging. My kids love them, and we've also used this as finger foods for parties. They are fast, simple and easy.

Yes, I have. I used to use "Pizza Quick" and put cheese and pepperoni on toasted bread(or non toasted) and then zap in the microwave. Tasty! Now, I mix my own pizza sauce, slather it on pita, and then add cheese and pepperoni. Still yummy!

Hi cordharmonie, thanks for sharing with us here your simple way to prepare the delicious “fake pizza”. Really when craving for pizza I also would try to use whatever I have in my kitchen to prepare my homemade “fake pizza” as well. And at least it could “quench” my appetite for that very moment . I usually would cut the plain bun into halves and put some canned soy bean, tomato slices and lettuce on top of them. I like food with spicy, sweet and sour taste so I use spicy chili sauce and thousand islands sauce as dressing. I star enjoy eating this freshly yummy pizza after the silvery “ting” sound.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

I have never tried putting the cheese and pizza sauce on the bread like that. And I havent tried the muffin pizza type situation either. Never really thought about It. But I do like just buying pizza dough then putting cheese pizza sauce and sausage and cooking It.

Oh yes! I used to make toast, put pasta sauce, cheese, and cut up hot dogs on it, and then put the slices together and microwave them. Homemade pizza pockets! They were absolutely wonderful when I couldn't actually get a pizza.

Ooh I am a HUGE fan of the english muffin pizza, too! They're real good if you bake them, though that takes a while. My recipe is virtually the same as the other one mentioned, but gosh, it's great! Hot dog buns also work. Stuff a hot dog bun with the sauce, cheese, etc and have pizza dog!!
