Haha..that reminds me many things in high school and in college,I always give the others' nicknames but when I look back,I have no other names, just my real name,it's because my name itself sounds like a gril's name.I am abashed when I first heard that a girl in my classroom has the same first name as I

For a long run I never had a famous sort of nick name but at times my classmates called me yak, for my hair style (if it was a style) otherwise they all call me "gupta", my surname.
One thing about all these nick name is that i gave some really good and popular nick names to my mates....
some of them are "lath", "sweety", "jai"...

I had a couple of nicknames in college. Most of my friends just shortened my name to Ire but a small subset of friends decided to call me Irun.

Perhaps my name is simple ,so from primary school until now university my friends call me the same name qiu. it is not a nickname but a abbreviation of my full name!
I like them call me qiu .it is very intimate.

Hello neha2k94u! My friends called me with different nicknames but all are related to my first name. I am aisa and my friends sometimes called me "ais", "ai", "sa" and "say" All those nicknames come from different people.

My family used to teased me by calling me "sot" at home.

Well what I feel is, this is not a kind of flattery if friends gives you, rather you are unusual in one way or the other if they do...
And may be you are too good that they wont like to name you something else..

You know, it's interesting that in my entire career of school I'd never had a nick-name. At least none that were shared with me if I did have one. I've spoken to people I went to school with since then and the response was I was the serious one. Not sure if that's why I didn't get one or if that is good or bad.
In college I was a non-traditional student as I got married at 18, so I wasn't in the regular run of the college day activities. I kind of wish I had that experience to be honest.

Your name must be "madonna?" :-) Or Donita? Or Donna?
Well anyway, my name is Aiza, and it's been like a practice that we add 'ng' to the last syllable of the name. That's how it became "Zang" (pronounced as Sang).
That was way back in highschool 9 years ago. Until now they call me Sang.
