anyone excited to see this tournament seemed like to me it hurt alot of players that participated in it last time cause they were having to play alot more then they are used to at that point of the season and alot of them got off to slow starts in the regular season if they want to have this tournament its fine by me but cant they pick a better time then right before the season starts to have it anyway is anyone looking forward to this seems like alot of big names are pulling out because they are afraid of getting hurt and they wont give any insurance to cover them in case they get hurt i dont know seems like a big waste of time that the great baseball commish is pushing for having i think they are trying to make it like the olympic style tournament i dont know maybe its just too close to the start of the regular season for me hate to see someone get hurt for the season in this tournament any thoughts be glad to hear any comments on this

I'm excited to watch the games. It is a lot of fun to watch international competition. Sure, the timing is bad for the WBC, but there really isn't a better time. The Major League Baseball season lasts from cold weather to cold weather. There is no break inbetween to play either. You hate to see players sitting out because of fear of injury, but baseball is a business so I can understand it. I can't wait to see several countries battle it out on the diamond.

I really enjoyed the last WBC. I got to go to the last 3 games. Best baseball games I've ever been to. Really good. I like the whole Idea of bringing international baseball to our venue.
I think if the players prepare properly by starting there workout sooner instead of treating it like spring training they'll be less apt to be injured or worn out halfway thru the season.
I don't think it's a good idea to enter a tournament and not give it your all and not take it seriously. If you are not prepared to do what it takes to win it all, you shouldn't be playing.
I can't wait!

i guess it would be different if i had actually had a chance to go to a game instead of just seeing it on tv did i read somewhere the tournament was in the domican republic this time? i guess that would make sense to move it around not have it in the same place all the time but it always seems like it means more to the other countries then it does to ours
