If you had the means, how many children would you have/parent?

Some people love the idea/act of parenting more than anything else, others would rather live outside of human contact than even think about having children. Most people fall in-between. But of course, some people haven't yet thought much (if at all) about it. If you could have as many or few children as you want (your own or/and adopted), just how many do you think you could handle, or would you want to try to handle?

If I had a choice, I would have a child from every continent of the world. As I'm planning to adopt, they would all be disabled because no one usually wants kids with disabilities. I'm sorry to say it, but it's true. I would also, of course, have to bring along any associated able bodied people like their brothers and sisters because I wouldn't want to further traumatize a child who already lost his/her parents by separating them from their siblings too. So, I guess, the number could go up to nine or maybe even 12. Ideally, however, it would only be 7 or maybe six as there are no people in Antarctica.

Honestly, I'd be happy w/ my hubby and 4 children. I'm an only child, so i would want my children to have people to keep them company. My husband might not be an only child so theyd have cousins from his side, but none from mine. Most of my cousins are in different states, so it's not like they would be local and grow up w/ my kids.
I think about having children a lot w/ my boyfriend, but honestly, until I finish school, I don't even want that to be an option. I still want to wait another... 3 or 4 yrs and by then, i'll be finished w/ my Master's degree, so I'd be in a better place to have kids.
three or four is just enough for me! :)

Ever since, I've been planning to have at least two children, even if I have the means or not I'll still prefer to have two children.
My reasons: 1) to do my responsibilities to them well 2) to do what i want even though i have already children (which i guess most of the women tend to ignore specially if they have children) 3) to balance my time with my children and husband
