Maybe all of you know about the bomb that attacked Cairo this Sunday in a very touristic place called Khan Al Khalily. These kind of threatenings damage the tourism industry that is already damaged by the global economic crisis.
But still ... Egypt stays a place where nothing can ruin its reputation as a historic, peaceful and civilized country. After this crisis would you still consider visiting Egypt?

Egypt is one of those places that i have dreamed of visiting ever since i saw the movie, "The mummy"... Ever since then i have been reading books abt mummys, hieroglyphs, sphinxs, pharoahs and all things associated with Egypt... And i would be devastated if my dream of wanting to go to Egypt gets shattered... So my answer to your question would be - Yes, i would still visit the place...
The world is populated with all kinds of terrorists.. the way to handle them is to show them that no matter what they do, we shall not be deterred by them... So for this reason, we should not get scared and stop visiting places..
Nobody stopped visiting America after 9/11 did they?
I am from India and recently we are experiencing lots of terror atacks.. that doesnt stop any tourist from visiting our great country...

True ... I've been to Bombay and New Delhi before ... and as you said ... as long as I always wanted to see the country, no one will be able to stop me. Enjoy your stay in Egypt when you have the chance to go there.

I'm getting married in June, and one of the honeymoon options is Egypt.

I had not heard about this. I visited Egypt a few years ago and there where armed guards everywhere including two on the Nile cruise boat that we went on. It's worrying of course, but it would not stop me from going again.

I don't think it will stop tourists from coming this summer. The biggest culprit of that will be the economy.
I am an American living in Egypt and I have always felt safe here. After the attack it was a little scary, but things have calmed back down.
IMO Egypt is a wonderful country to visit...not to live.
