Does gender really have anything to do w/ whether a child is hard to discipline?

...There's something in a girl that the boy also have, they said that boys are more "pasaway" because girls are more "mabait" than them, there are also girls who are more "malikot" than boys..

Generally, boy kids are hyperactive and playful while girl kids would only take their seat and play with barbie dolls or something to do with cooking commonly called "lutu-lutuan". However, new generation now has changed. I know some girl kids who are really spoiled brat and are very hard to discipline. I also know boy kids who are playful, but are more easy to discipline. It isn't really about gender. It is how parents rear the kids.

...Yeah, maybe it's in the parents on how they treat their children, but the environment also has a big relation on how a girl or a boy behave...

I remember the situation of my nephew and his girl cousin on his mother side. My nephew's cousin was brought up by her grandmother because both parents were working abroad. Whatever toys my nephew has, the cousin also wants to have it. Whenever the cousin's toys were destroyed, she would grab my nephew's toys without permission. The cousin is 1 year older than the nephew, but my nephew would always be the one giving way to his cousin. My nephew would always say, "ang kulit mo"...My nephew really behaves well than his cousin.

Gender has nothing to do with it at all...it all boils down to the parent/caregiver...I have a son and a daughter and raising them, disciplining them has been the same, neither has been any harder than the other....BUT I gear how I do things to their personalities rather than making the foolish assumption that one way will work for both. They arent carbon copies of each other so naturally how I do it with one isnt goin to have the same effect on the other.....
