What gift will you give for your best friend's wedding?

I have been graduated from university for two and a half year. My friends are all planning their weddings. One of my best friend will marry on May 10 this year, so there are about two month for me to prepare gift for her.
I want to send her a wonderfull wedding gift to express my greetings to her marriage. I am working on a cross stitch product which really is a big 'project'. According to the nomal speed, one may use two or three month to finish it. I have no confident to finish my work before her wedding, hah, but I still try. Maybe you should know I have no much patience for such kind thing.
I hope my friend will be full of happiness during her marriage life.
What special gift will you give to your best friends to celebrate their weddings? Will you choose one made by yourself or just buy one from shops? Please share with us for a reference. :)

I'm also a Chinese. The same thing will happen to me soon. In my opinion, the gift could not be too expensive but carries your deep blessing and meaning to your friends. Of course, if you don't have the economic burden, you can get your friends a valuable gift like diamonds/ Jewels(lol=D)...or if you're capable of making your own handcrafts, you can make it either...anyway, brings the blessing to your friends...

It doesn't sound very creative or thoughtful, but I gave my best mate and his new wife money.
They were starting a new life together and money was the thing they needed most.
Sure, something pretty or nice would have been good, but overall would it have really helped them?

Hi friend. Thanks for your response! Your idea is very nice. Sorry I did not express myself clearly in my question. I mean besides money, what gift would you like to send your best friend. In my opinion, wedding needs something to be memoried from friends.
