I had a missed call last night from the lady I don't know and as I was listening to the voicemail, I accidentally pressed 7 and message was gone! I also didn't hear her good and made me no clue what she was talking about!
I felt so id*ot for doing it. I don't know if it's about my application or whatever!
I researched the number but it is not even from the city where I live!
Have you tried deleting any of your voicemail messages or txt messages even if you still need it?

It is just a accident, nobody want to miss messages.Even though I try to avoid it,the same thing happens again and again, maybe it should be called bad luck but not carelessness. I missed a very important telephon which was about my degree and it costed my 2 more years in school.

Sometimes it happens to me. Sometimes is just carelessness, like I'm tired and not concentrating. And sometimes it's and accident, just pressing a button twice instead of one time or so. Hopefully it's not something important, just pray it may be a woman trying to sell something to you LOL

I have no idea how to delete messages. I leave that up to my husband. He is very good at that, but I am terrible. Usually sometimes he deletes the phone numbers he put on automatic or he has to put them in because we have three phone hand sets and you have to enter them into all three.

Things like that happens... i remember deleting a lot of emails because i was so emotional during that time... and i immediately regretted my action... but that was not accidental... in you case it was an accident... and if that lady really wanted to give you an important message... she would surely call again if she doesn't here from you soon...

Hi aseretdd,
Thanks for being positive! hehehe! You're the perfect person who always balance me since I will always jump into thinking negative like " oh it's my carelessness" even if it's true sometimes...hehehe...
Enjoy and thanks !

Hello checapricorn,
I think I did once. But it was not really an important message and I accidentally delete it. My case is a bit different. Sometimes when someone calls me and I am busy or in a hurry, I will tell that person that I will call back, thinking that the number will appear in my received call list. I always forgot to ask the person's name and end up calling the general line or accidentally deleted my dialed/received call list before I even manage to call back!

Hi there,
I don't have a cell phone so never have deleted from there. But I have accidentally done it with our answering machine.
I think sometimes were just in a hurry that we push the wrong button.

Right, after you have deleted something you just can't believe you did it. I figure if the person wants to talk to you bad enough they will call back if they don't hear from you.

You are not an idiot, and you should not make yourself believe that you are one. We all do things like that sometimes. Many times my husband and I have accidentally deleted something I needed later. It's just something people accidentally do sometimes, because we have so many things to manage.

we don't you call your phone company and ask if they could restore your deleted messages by restoring the system to an earlier date, it is worth a try.
It happened to me once and my company was able to do it for me.

Ha ha ha, you've been so careless, sorry my friend but that's what I look at it. There were also some times that I made such careless move. I received a message in my phone's inbox and carelessly deleted it without reading the whole message. I can't remember exactly the message was all about and when I was trying to recover it, I was so desperate...

HI checapricorn! Don't feel so bad! I've done that too! I
have hit the #7 to delete by mistake and they wondered if
it might have been important! And then tried to figure out
what the number was and who it might have been and driven
myself crazy over it too! Don't worry so much about it! If
it really was important hopefully the will call back. I know
you are wondering if it was about a job. I understand! Hopefully,
if it was they will call back.

I hve accidentally erased important numbers off of my phone a few times. It normally happens when I am in a hurry and not paying attention to what I am doing. I only have voice mail on my cell phone and normaly, I do not get messages, but, in the rare event that I do, I haven't erased any yet....knock on wood!!

Hi Che, that also happened to me several times. I deleted some very important text messages in my mobile. I just whinge a little bit and got over it. What can we do? Hope it's not about your application though. But if it was about your application they will surely contact you again if they really need you. Don't worry.

The next time you delete a message by accident you should try starting replay of messages over again. The message usually isn't deleted until you hang up the phone. If you go back to the main menu or if you wait unntil you've heard all the messages you will usually hear a prompt to let you listen to your messages again. When I get one that is hard to hear I usually save it so I can replay it and try and decipher it. Sometimes it is a question of what phone you are listening to messages on. Cordless phones are the worst because so many things affect reception.

Hi Che,
I know how it feels specially if we are expecting an important call and then unknowingly we do something wrong which hinders the communication? Well, I did not experience like that so far. Anyway, if it is really important, they will call you back. have a nice day.

don't worry - if it is imporetant then she will call again! I hate phones but now have to walk around with 3 of them for different jobs. I just loathe it as I find it very confusing. Waht I have done is to stop listening to missed calls on the same reasoning that the person will call back. I just cnnot listen to all messages. No, I do listen to the messages on one phone. I do things like you did all of the time.Blessings
