Are you a prayerful man/woman from what your belief?

when i wake up and able to get out of bed, and say thank you to god, and then i asked him to give me the strength to make it another day, and thank you again for giving me another day on earth. i also will asked for help to deal with anything that comes my way.

Hi! Although a tag is attached behind my tail as Hindu,actually I belong to no religion. I am everywhere. And as I am not a hardcore believer in the religious practices to satiate the otherwise angry God I do not pray in the formal way. I just look upward and for few second wish that HE be kind to all needy people. I do not ask for myself for doing so I would prove myself a selfish and no one shows pity and extend help towards a selfish person. This too I do not do always. I believe if the High Form is there He is everywhere. So I do not visit the religious place like temple, Church etc.. seeking Him. The Great Poet Kabir Das had written in the form of God;s version " Neither in temple, nor in mosque, nor in Church, I am everywhere in every 'Breath', what you need to know is to feel my presence". I believe this. I see His Higher Form in inner self and in the form of a Dog too. This is my prayer....hope this has not hurt any soul.

yes I do pray, and ask for a good day and good decision making abilities.

We are taught to pray unto Him every time, everywhere. We should be. He's our guidance and our shield in this life full of miseries. "...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16b)

I don't attend church on a regular basis or claim to be one thing or another but the one thing I do is pray..lol..It makes me feel relieved and ready for sleep. I mostly pray for things that are other than for myself. I think these prayers are the ones that are more likely to be answered but if I'm having and extra tough time..I'll pray for guidance or peace. Cangerous really because we never really know in what way our prayers will be answered but they usually are.

Wel.. I do pray at times but i can say im not a religious person... lol coz i keep forgettin to pray...quite a LOT...

I do. I try to remember every morning to pray that God would direct my thoughts, words and deeds and that He would bless me throughout my day. I'm not really a morning person though, so sometimes I don't think of it first thing, but I always do it at some point in the day!

It is good to be thankful it does not have to be in a form of prayer. I have realized that when you are thankful there are windows of opportunity and so I practice it in my daily activities.

Prayer is an important part of my day. I have no set specific times for prayer other then I like to start the day with prayer and end the day with prayer. God's guidance is important to me and I like Him to be a part of all that goes on during the day, good or bad.
