Yup my daughters ar was just setting there in the parking lot where her hubby parked it when he went to work .
and he has parked in the same place for 6 years!.
When sometime yesterday moprning he gets a call from a fellw worker that her can had been run over. Yup thats what they said.
One of the venders that was delivering some thing to the shop backed right almost over her car!.
Great big dent over her front tire on the passenger side Rubber pealing off the tire too.
The workers got pics and paper work from the driver. and his drivers liceince.
and all has been reported to the Ins. company and they said it would get foxed if it wanst her fault!?
Just how could it be her fault wehn it was just setting there with no one around it?
We go today to find a place to get it fixed. and Ins. company said they would right out the check to get it fixed!.
Now is her ins. going to go up from this?
I would think not but we shall see.
the ins. company take any little thing to raise the premiums .

Oh boy... that's really too bad, my friend. What on earth was the delivery driver thinking of? If he was to lose his license, he'll be out of a job, as well. Not to mention your daughter... I sure hope the insurance company pay up. Here, you have to have it repaired first and pay the first so much of the bill, and the insurance company settles the rest.
Brightest Blessings and I hope your daughter isn't without a car for too long!

Her insurance most probably will go up. Insurance companies are not in business to pay out money, so when they have to, they get even. No-fault insurance means simply "whoever caused the accident, it's not the insurance company's fault".

As long as the other drivers insrance covers everything then there shouldn't be any problems when they go to renew their insurance. Or at least that is the way it works here - if the other party is responsible then their insurance covers it and your daughters insurance wouldn't be affected. I do hope it is all worked out with no problems honey! Hugs xxx

Wow, what a strange set of circumstances. Good thing that there was someone there to hold the fellow accountable and get his information.
Who knows that the insurance company will do? It will depend on what their policy makers decide. Ours changed a few years ago and it holds drivers to a different level of accountability than the old ones.
It doesn't see logical that they wouldn't pay or that they'd increase premiums when Linda was not directly involved or even present.
Will look for updates. Good luck with it and sorry it happened.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. We are just sticking around home and trying to keep on top of the various forums David and I both belong to.
Hugs to you!

I sometimes think of insurance as one step away from racketeering..

Dont know why I wasnt signed in was surpose to be lol.
We got assesment yestrday from her Ins Co.
But today she has to call the other fellers ins co.
To make them pay for it if she goes with hers she has to pay the $250 deductable and we dont want that.
might take longer this way but it was his fault so he should pay!

if the accident is not her fault her premiums are not going to go up, she was not a participant in the accident.

Thats crazy...I would say its the drivers fault he wasn't watching where he was backing up. I hope the ins. company pays her enough to get her car fixed. I wouldn't think her ins. would go up, I think the only way it would go up is if she filed a claim against her own insurance, like if she had a accident and it was her fault, then it would prob. go up. If anything, it'll be the driver or the company he works for, their ins. will go up.

If they determine it isn't her fault they cannot raise her premium. I would talk to your agent and make sure though.
