During a journey do you prefer a book or a magazine to help pass time?

I somehow prefer a book to a magazine. Magazines are boring and there is nothing much to read in them. Once you glance through it and see all the pictures, you do not feel like reading it in detail. With a book time just flies and you do not realise when the journey got over.
What do you prefer?

i prefer book coz its longer and more interesting. you wouldnt even know youve reach to your destination already. it really does help you occupied especially when you are traveling. can i just say, depends entirely if its a car coz obviously you cant read there. hehehe.

Same as you mercuryman, I prefer to read a book while im travelling. With a book that is of my interest time flies fast so much that i will not be able to notice somehow the length of my journey. Sometimes I bring magazines with me too if its gonna be a very long journey.

Books are always a necessity for me, even on short trips on the bus. If I'm going somewhere, I take a book. Magazines are extremely shallow, and they just don't get the brain working. I like to be engaged and made to think when I'm reading.

No when I am on a journey or trip somewhere I do not like to read, or be distracted by other things. I like to check out my surroundings. I would not want to miss anything interesting.
