I was just informed that there is going to be a high school alumni next month. If I went I seriously doubt that I would see anyone that I know. They have all mostly moved away from here or they just don't care about seeing their highschool friends.
Do you have things like this around your high school? Do people show up?

Is that like a reunion?
I've been to a school reunion before and it was seriously one of the worst things I've ever done in my life.
You haven't seen anyone is such a long time that there's this awkwardness pervading the air.
And then everyone seems to feel like they have to compete with what you've accomplished in life - whether it be a family or a job or your dreams.
I felt like it was just one big comparison day where everyone you used to know is comparing where they are in life to where you are in life.
A horrible experience heh.

At my past high school I doubt if there are any alumni but if there is one the guys from our year and beyond would not be turning up. The reason because the school was a secondary and the year we graduated it turn high school. These kids that are attending this school now are not of our calibre and so we don't want to mix with them. We still see each though because we were all closed while attending school and we keep in touch even though we are not living in the same community.

they send me notices of reunions every year or so,but i never go.
i didn't like my classmates in school, and i'm not in a hurry to see them ever again.
i really don't know how many attend it,but if they're like they were in school, they probably do to brag.

I meet my high schoolmates once or twice a year for about twenty years. That was after a departure of about twenty years after graduation. We were not surprised to see the changes in our appearance, but the feelings remained the same. We recalled the happy days in schoold, and exchanged experience all those years. Since then, we went to some place for a short stay with our spouses and have pictures taken. That has become an annual event in my life.
Cherish the opportunity of your reunion, and have a happy day.

I'm not really a party-girl. I even refused parties like that because it reminds me of someone else. I rather spend my precious time on something else than to see an ugly beast. And my schedules are quite tight as well.

My gradating class has had at least one reunion that I know of, but I did not go to it. I don't know about any alumni things. I don't think I would go to any of them either. I live 4 hours away from my home town, so it would be a pain to travel up there just for something like that.

Reunion! I like reunion but sad to say I haven't attended a reunion yet. It is because of my schedule. But if ever there will be a reunion again, I'll make sure that I will attend. I'm excited to see my classmates and to know what they are up to. It feels great to see old friends.
