hi mylotters!! what do you think about this quote?
i kinda believe this quote.it feels great to be in love isn't it? but somehow we experience pains in every relationship and we can't avoid to get hurt.there are people who said they dont want to fall in love again because of the heartache it cause them alot.but for me i still fall and be in love no matter how many pains i'll experience. i may or may not be hurt but at least i fall in love and i learn and its a great feeling to be in love :)

Hello jenisky! I haven't tried to be hurt yet, because honestly, my husband is my first boyfriend. It felt wonderful because my husband loves me so much.
But understanding about that saying, I guess it tells about loving someone and never regret of loving that person although that person hurt you. I agree with it. Better be hurt and grow than not being happy and be loved at all. In every relationship, it's a risk. So we better risk loving that person than regretting all your life because you never tried at all.

It's a cliche but like everything else in life, there's always a risk. A gamble whether to find love or heart pains, success or failure or happiness or sorrow. A person can not aspire one without having the chance to get the other. That's just how it is, I guess. Like the quote said "better to have love and hurt than to have never loved at all."

Gold becomes Pure, when it is burnt, similiarly how do you know the LOVE(all characteristics) until U r Hurt in Love?

I believe this is pretty simple, it comes from the fact tthat is bettr have the experiences and the pain that come with , than live a life with no expectations, it also part of the fact that we normally expect the worse to happen, who says you will be hurt??? you don't know that, but if you are, the experience will be worth it!

I think it is totally silly.I don't know who came up with that saying but I think it is dumb.

There is a song with the line "Ain't it better to lose at love then to never love at all?" by Rod Stewart. And even though right now I am on the losing end. My husband walked out on me in November, I still think that quote is true. For even though I am hurting a great deal right now, I don't regret being in a relationship with him.

I could turn that quote around and say you can not miss what you never had. But honestly what is life without love. I think you have to take risks. Maybe it will not work out, but what if it does. You can't miss out on love because you are to afraid to try. We need pain in life, it helps us to earn. We also need the exitement of love.

It's a traumatic experience to be hurt by your loved one - it's one of the many reasons why the relationship ended and people wouldn't be surprised if the hurt party would try to shield himself/herself from further damage. Although feeling loved is the most amazing thing in the world, feeling hurt by the very person you trusted the most is the worst. Frankly, I don't know if I would choose the roller coaster feeling of being in love if there is no happy ending - or if I'd rather live a plain life that is focused on cultivating my skills (which is a good and worthwhile "distraction").
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

there is an old saying which says better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, i think that it is an experiance we should all have once in our lives when we truly find that one person god has destined us to be with and yes at times you will feel hurt by them but if you never experiance this part of life you would have missed out on so much,

that's a good proverb,I think it's reasonable. you lose the chances to love just because of your fear of hurt or pain ahead of you,how silly that is? it's just a normal step to be mature, you will learn nothing if can not take action just because of the uncertain results? if we always think that way,we will lose everything,JUST DO IT,this quote is good
