Doomsday? 2012

Well let me give first the source of the idea.. And then my opinion. The reason people are so set on the world ending on 12/21/12, is because the Mayan Calender seems to stop there on that date. My personal opinion follows: The calender could have ended because the Mayan's mathmatical skills were not as advanced as ours. Also, The numbers somewhat match up like our bindary system. (101101001) Etc... Omen? No it's not. In my personal opinion, I believe that this world will not end on December 21st 2012. The Mayans did not survive to see the centuries that their calender had in store. Perhaps just a legend that people have taken way to far. We as humans always have tendencies to do that. However it depends on what others believe in, if you believe in Christianity, then the world will end when Christ comes back. If you believe in Evolution, it depends, the world could continue on and on, until either the earth becomes too weak, or too crowded. But this we never know, it's part of the secret of life. It could end tomorrow, next week, next year, a meteor could crush it, or the earth could go into a Super Nova. We never know. I figured I'd voice my long views on thsi subject. I hope this helps alot.
