"coconut hair mask- soften a large chunk of coconut cream in your hair and massage into hair. wrap your hair in a warm towel, and let sit for an hour, then wash out with a gentel shampoo." "egg mask- beat two full eggs with two tablespoons of water. apply to clean, damp hair massaging in well, leave it in for 10 to 15 minutes and wash it out with a mild soap." "banna smoothie for hair- mixed one mashed banana , one full egg, three tablespoons of honey, three tablespoons of milk and five tablespoons of olive oil. make sure it's well combined then apply to hair. leave in for with 15-30 min then wash out with a gentel soap." "yogurt hair mask- seperate an egg and beat the white until it's foamy (don't use the yolk), mix with six tablespoons of natural yogurt. massage into hair and leave in for 15-30 min. wash out with very mild shampoo."

My hair dresser recommended real mayonnaise for my hair. It has always been really dry, and I had tried many over the counter shampoos and conditioners that just didn't work. Mayonnaise has oil in it that actually works quite well on hair. It's kind of gross putting it in your hair, but if you leave it in for about five minutes at least three times a week, you should start to see some results fairly quickly. I noticed my hair improving within the first week....it's worth a try

I have tried mayo, it works wonders. While your bathing add mayo to your hair, just spread it on like conditioner while your hair is wet, leave it on for about 15 minutes then wash it out. Works great!! Or it did for me.

Hi, my daughter have a very dry hair. What I use in her hair and works a lot is mashed avocado with 3 tablespoon of olive oil. Apply it after wash the hair. Let it stay for 1 hour and rinse the hair. Never use a hot water to wash your hair. You can use a conditioner after rinse the avocado as well. Do this once a week and after two weeks you will see the result. I do this in her hair since she was a child and she have a nice, soft and sparkling hair.

I have heard of the plain mayo but I was told to put a mixture of mayo and peanut oil into my hair overnight and wash it out the next day if possible. Use a mixture of mayo and half the amount of the mayo for the peanut oil. Put it in your hair overnight. You also either use a shower cap or plastic around your head and hair so it doesn't get on the pillows.
Another suggestion is to start reading your shampoo and products bottles. The first ingredient listed should be water. The sulfates are bad for the hair.

Mayo has always been a great home remedy that many people turn to. I recently had a perm that fried my hair (literally) to the point where my hair was breaking. I was using sunsilk's line which I found to be the best. I don't know if you don't want to go to the hairdresser's or not, but if you can its very beneficial!!!! I just got a deep conditioning treatment which helped my hair tremendously. My hair was so dry to the point that it was knotting and I couldn't get my brush or hand through my hair. My hair was also midway down my back. I got my hair cut up to my shoulders to also help with management and healthy growth. I'm currently using panteen's line for curly hair and then an intense mositurizing conditioner. Seems to be doing really well for my hair. Just remember all hair types are different so what works for one may not work as well for another. Goodluck!

I myself use Home made curds ( yogurt)and egg . I beat a whole egg and add some curds and cover my entire scalp with it and leave it on for about half an hour and then shampoo my hair. This is an excellent treatment for hair, especially if you have dryness or itchiness. It also promotes hair growth if done regularly. Another good home made remedy is mix some red hibiscus flowers and leaves of the hibiscus plant with coconut oil and boil it in an iron container. Leave it to cool and filter the oil and bottle it. Warm it a little and apply it into your hair and all over your scalp , leaving it on for at least 2-3 hours, after which you can follow it up with the yogurt and egg mixture, and shampoo. It is very nourishing for the hair and so much more economical.

Thanks for all the tips!
When my mom was young she had an aloe plant in her backyard. Apparently, she used that aloe in her hair to help it become thicker. Since I also used to have very thin hair, I started finding shampoos that had aloe extract. I ended up using Suave Aloe because it was one of the cheapest brands. A little while later, my friend started looking at my hair and she commented that it looked really thick and healthy. I guess that aloe shampoo really did the trick!
