Hi Friends,
We know mylot is one of the best and interesting site to earn money online and to make friends from all over the world.
I have registered with ciao. Now I want to try other websites either Helium or AssociateContent.
I want to know which you like among these two sites, Helium or Associate Content ?
Please share your experience, merits and demerits.
Thanks in advance....

I am not working with AC because it pays only per views and not for the articles to non US citizen. I am working on Helium since December and hope to make payout there. Helium seems a little difficult and confusing in the beginning but ultimately it solves the problem if you have a good thorough read of the user guide with proper attention to every little detail. Now Helium is giving more offers with every passing day to starred writers and I hope I can utilize them properly. Have a nice day!

You need to write articles with a good introduction that will hook the readers to it and sort of force to read the rest. I don't write anything great but I have articles ranked well till now.I think you join it and give a try. They ave numerous resources to help their writers who are new. They are having a glitch now as the site is expanding so members like me are having problem logging in to the site. It will get solved soon. All the best for your articles.

I am not an good writer and it is not my hobby at all. But to earn some bucks I am trying to join in some income generating websites.
Some of my friends suggested me to join in triond. I have registered with triond just today.
Do I require expert writing skills to earn money from helium?
What is your opinion about triond?
Thanks for your response..
Have a great day.

I like Associated Content better than Helium, but they're both pretty good. I like that AC is more journalistic content and Helium is more commentary and creative content. There's a niche in each for every kind of writing, but I've had better luck with AC overall.

I couldn't ever really get into Helium. I like to use Associated Content because I know that I will be paid every month whether I write or not. I also like the Calls for Content on Associated Content because sometimes I'm just not feeling very creative and I like to know that they have picked a topic for me and that I already know what is expected of me and what I will get paid for writing that piece.

Its very interesting to listen AC pays you every month whether you write or not.
Thanks for posting your opinion.

I personally like Helium better. There are so many more earning opportunities from the Marketplace(yay) to Contests (yuck) to sharedrevenue(yay) to upfront payments(yay) and the empty title bonus(yay).
Yes, you need a rating star to get shared revenue, and you need at least one writing star at the end of the month to get upfront/empty title bonuses. However it's not all that hard to get.
The few bad things about Helium are: Articles are pitted against themselves so it increases normal-articles-competition. Payout is higher.
I am trying to participate in AC more. I recently wrote an article meant for Helium but decided to try AC's upfront payment and I got 3.53 bucks for it, that's in addition to any revenue the article will get. So , if you're from the US, AC's upfront payment is really worth a try. Some people try Calls but it seems like so many of them a PPV only, so basically they're treated like regular articles. The payout's really low: no limit for upfronts, and 1.5 minimum for revenue payout.
Other things to consider:
Helium also allows publishers to buy "stock content". So if they like a regular article you wrote, you get five bucks and they get to republish it. This is fairly rare for most writers. Also Helium's community is far more existent. There may not be a comment system, but at least there's a really active forum with loads of helpful people.
AC does win on media. You can put videos and slideshows and audio, but you can't get any upfronts on it. Personally if I had any media I'd put it on Bukisa since their PPV program is currently higher (over twice higher) than AC's - or put on both!

I am not from U.S. so I don't want to waste my time on AC.
Thanks for your informative response about Helium.

I think quality of your articles is poor. It might be one of the reason for poor earnings.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I wish you happy earnings in mylot..
