The closest city that has an amusement park to us is about ninety miles away. We used to take church and school trips up to the city, but I haven't been in forever. My favorite part of going is just walking around there and seeing all types of different people. I'm terrified of the roller coasters, so you'll most likely never see me on one of them. I like the not so dangerous rides, like the water rides, or anything that spins around or just stays on the ground period. And I hate the ferris wheel, it goes way too high in the air for me. What's your favorite ride or activity?

I live an hour and half away from the nearest amusement park.. It's the best amusement park i've seen here in our country.. it offers thrilling rides from roller coaster rides to kiddie ones.. my favoride ride is ferris wheel because once you're there you feel like you're flying up in the air, you can see from the top the perfect view of the Laguna mountain, cool isn't? i also like the ride in the water, the roller coaster for kids, lol, etc.. i hate the roller coaster for adults because it looks terrifying!

I could handle the kiddie rides but not the scary adult rides. I'll stick to my safe little water rides.

I live close to many amusement parks.. Busch Gardens and water country are about 30 miles away, and Kings Dominion is about an hour and a half. There is an indoor water park about 30 miles away. We are pretty lucky about that. But we dont really go that much. We take it for granted lol, no, we go at least once or twice a summer, but we are pretty busy. I like some roller coasters, but I always hold on for dear life..lol. I like shows, and letting my kids have fun! =)

That is lucky to be near that many parks. That's something that I hate about when my daughter gets older...there's absolutely no source of entertainment in our area. I guess we'll be taking a bunch of road trips! Thank you for your response.

there are quite few amusement part. one near to my place about one ride from here. and the other quite far like going to another city which is about an hour ride if without traffic. i don't like extreme rides as well like those roller coaster and those rides that make me feel dizzy and feel like my heart fell down to my stomach. i hate those kind of feeling. and i get afraid being in those kind of rides. i tried once and never did ride those scary rides. one of the scariest rides for me is the caterpillar. it was really so scary for me that i felt that i am going to be thrown out from where i was sitting into the ground. and the roller coaster just by the look of it i will not be able to bear it. so i never tried to even with some e\insistence from some people. i just think that it is so crazy to ride those things. but it is just crazy when people enjoyed riding on them more than once. like they keep coming back for those scary rides though sometimes they will they were scared sometimes. but still they wanted to keep riding it again. and besides i question the safety of those rides. and the health risk or effects on riding them. there are some findings for example the roller coaster ride has bad effect on our brain and it can lead to some seizure or some brain problems. and so i think it it \s best to avoid those rides.

That's what worries me the most....is how safe the ride actually is. I usually talk myself out of boarding the ride as I'm watching it in line. I've taken the chicken exits many times.

I've never been in such big amusement park. The only one i've going is really small. My city don't own one park... =/ The one i like is the "Ranger" or "Discovery". You be sit on a chair and it flip and rotate at same time...is really cool! \o/ Regards from Brazil, Scorpionok.

my school used to be just across a very famous amusement park in our country and we would always look at it from afar and wish we could always go there.. since we're just students and the entrance fee is too costly for us we go for special occassions.. i personally love the flying fiesta.. and things that swing you round up in the air.. i also love the ferris wheel.. =) i love water rides as well.. but i hate it when you get your clothes wet coz i usually don't hvae extra shirts on me :) why do you hate ferris wheels? its fun.. its very relaxing cause you get to see everything around you from up above.. i guess i get your point though, its the slow movement going down that creeps me out during ferris wheel rides.. it makes me nervous i don't know why.. maybe because of all the scenes in the movies and TV where ferris wheels are stuck and you're way above in the air and there's nothing you can do about it.. =) i haven't tried roller coasters though.. but i really want to.. but i guess im too much of a coward to try.. im too scared cause i keep on thinking that since im very thin and light that i would just slip through it and fall.. =)

I'm too scared of heights, so the ferris wheel is scary to me. I do worry that it will get stuck up there, or worse yet, the seat I'm riding in will come unlatched somehow and I go tumbling to the ground! Nope, not my cup of tea. Thanks for responding!

I live about 15 minutes away from Sea World. They have some nice exhibits there. My favorite would have to be the baby dolphin pool. Baby animals are too cute! They are building a new roller coaster which I'm excited about. The park doesn't have enough rides.

Hello cikedo. It is so nice that you live in a place where you can frequently go and visit the Sea World, which is fifteen minutes away from you. I have never been to such a place as it is not available in my small town, but in big cities. Enjoy yourself, friend.

Hello dear Amber. There is no amusement park in the small town where I live, but we have a lot of beautiful scenic spots instead to appeal to us visitors. I have to quite a few of these scenic spots for some times together with my colleagues. There is a big amusement park in the capital city of our province. It is an hour-ride before we get to the city, but we need to take a city bus there to the amusement park in the capital city. I hope to be able to visit it some day soon if it is possible for me to. Enjoy yourself, friend.

We live about a 40 minute car ride from one. I like the different sights and smells. Even the screaming coming from certain rides adds to the experience. I used to like the roller coasters, until I hurt my back. Now I will be looking forward to seeing my kids enjoy the experience.

The closest amusement park is about 15 minutes by subway and 10 by car. Its called Lotte World, the largest indoor amusement park in the world. There is an outdoor section too, which is where all the fun a.k.a. scary rides are. I also do not roller coasters. But I do like those rollercoasters that let your feet hang. I rode the Batman once at Six Flags, and it was awesome! I can ride smaller rides that are less scary. I love water rides but things that spin aren't my style. I'm scared of heights most of the time so I hate Ferris Wheels too, but the view from up there is very nice. I'm scared of getting stuck at the top though. My favorite ride is the Batman and those kind of rides.

I actually live in an area that has a couple amusement parks. Roseland Water Park, which I havent been to. And Darien Lake which used to be a Six Flags Park, but has since gone to a private owner. What I love the most about them, is the food. Im not much of a roller coaster rider, or for that matter, I dont get caught up in the hype of most attractions that Amusement Park has to offer. I did however get to see Cirque De Soleil, not sure of the spelling last year at SeaBreeze in Rochester NY. Which happens to be one of the oldest Parks in the country.
