What do you mean 256mb not enough for gaming? May be if we use old games, and old Windows can use smaller than 1gb. I use 2 Windows, 1)Windows ME and 2)Windows XP. In Windows ME, for ME itself need 64mb to uploading into memory. In Windows XP, for XP itself need 192mb to uploading into memory. For Windows Vista need 512mb to uploading into memory, it defend how the system requirement your specification. Perhaps you are right my memory is low, my free space in my Hard Disk is only 200mb :(. I need more space to do swap file. Thanks for your response.

You can use widgets of yahoo or if your a vista user, you can use the sidebar. I think the task manager also displays the memory usage of the PC.

The computer checks the memory upon boot up. If you have bad memory then the computer will not boot.Cheers!!
