Do you use strictly filtered water for everything or do you use tap for anything you boil, like vegetables or tea?
I like to use filtered water most of the time but occasionally I'll use tap for boiling.

Where I live you do not use the tap water for anything but washing. So we buy R.O. water.

I usually like filtered water better. At home, the tap water is OK. I don't mind rinsing my mouth with it when I brush my teeth. I will use tap water to boil, too. But when I drink it, I want filtered. I don't think most bottled water is any better than filtered.
Where I work the water tastes much worse than at home, and I don't even want to drink it after it is filtered, though it is not bad for coffee or tea.

I drink tap water now as I am trying to save some money. They have added a charcoal filter to the city water supply and the water has never tasted better. Actually it is the lack of taste that is good because it used to taste musty in the Fall season when there was lots of algae in the lake. I would like to add a filter to the kitchen sink though and get an added bit of filtering. I had one but it attached to the set of taps and it was always in the way so I stopped using it.
