why cant companies that make fingernailpolish make one that doesnt have that awful odor to it even after it has dried there is still that alchol smell i havent worn polish in 2 years because i was recently diagnosed with copd and am not allowed to wear perfume or have any fragrances around me at all. but my step daughter wanted to play makeup the other night and i let her paint my nails and when she opened that bottle oh boy the smell was overpowering. iam excited to hear the responses from this discussion.

I never thought that nail polish odor was such an offensive one. I thought it smelled quite nice but then again, I like the smell of gunpowder and gasoline. Weird, eh? Cheers!!

They have made nail polish with no odor. They also have polish with low odor. I have used some of these and have found them to be much more pleasent than a traditional polish.
If you like different scents, they also have scented nail polish. I have also used some of these and find that the scent is unable to completly cover the "nail polish" odor. I have also used scented nail polish remover. I found that this was a much less imposing product than the typical remover, but it still has a slight smell.
