why is it that people are always in such a hurry when they are out driving i dont know how many times some almost caused an accident today because they were either going too fast or waited till the last minute to pull out or they dont yield when they are suppose to instead they speed up and they to beat you to that spot i mean is there life of so little importance to them that they take such unecessary risks instead of being more cautious and waiting till the traffic is clear why are people in such a rush?

I think people just DON'T know how to plan ahead of time. People just think that they can get wherever they need to be in 15 minutes, whereas in reality, it takes a good 20 minutes to get there. People forget about important time-consuming factors like traffic, weather, accidents, and just the dumb-luck of hitting every light. I wish people would plan more ahead of time; it would not only help THEM avoid getting into accidents, but would also help them avoid getting to work/school/appointments late.

yeah seems to many people like to run the lights too which can be very dangerous if someone is not paying attention i know that someone doesnt want to slam on their brakes but you have to be concious of oncoming traffic if people just leave themselves a little extra time they would have plenty of time to get where they are going i mean you cant plan around traffic and accidents which seem to be inevitable since most people are in such a rush

I think, some people nowadays are very impatient because almost everything is instant. But they have to instil in their minds that safety should be the priority when it comes to driving. It is because people's lives are at stake.

I always wonder too. I don't understand why people keep rushing and everyone is in a hurry and need to be the first one in the line. I think it is also psychological that one needs to be ahead of the game. People also overtake recklessly and men especially tend to that if they see a woman going faster than him. I think it is quite foolish and also irresponsible driving puts not only their life but also that of others in danger.

glad to see i am not the only one that feels this way there is not reason why you cant take a few extra seconds to wait till it is safe to pull into the traffic instead of jamming out into the traffic a second before another car is there and causing a horrific accident that could of easily been avoided

My friends and I call this "hurry up and wait." These are the people who drive like bats out of h--- and cut in front of you only to have to stop at the corner for a signal or something else. Those are probably the same people who are always in a hurry yet never seem to be getting to where they need to be or never on time. All I can gather is these people don't plan ahead and don't leave themselves enough time to get them to where they need to be.

if you leave yourself enough time to get to your destination be it work, going out to dinner, or just in a hurry to get home no reason to rush because im sure just as many other people would like to get home too im sure its worse in the cities then it is here since there are usually alot more people and i think its bad enough here and we only have about 10,000 or so for our population so i can imagine in the big cites it is probably alot worse since there is more traffic to deal with which probably makes people more impaitent

I used to drive a bit recklessly and I think it was just because I was impatient. It wasn't necessarily that I was in a hurry, I just didn't like waiting in traffic or behind slow cars.
But, then I got a speeding ticket. I'm actually surprised I didn't get one earlier. I had been driving about 4 years before I got my ticket. Now I drive a lot safer. Partly because I don't want to get another ticket, however, mostly because I realized that waiting isn't so bad. Getting into an accident and possibly hurting someone else or myself would just be too terrible that waiting in traffic seems like nothing.
