I enrolled in a driving school not only to learn how the proper way of driving but also the rules and regulations of driving in our state. i had fun and understood it very easy. BUT, I am having problem with the backing in the alley. Though I have performed that several times. After my class in driving school, I was stuck because of the winter. That means lot of snows everywhere I would like to ask my dear mylotters to give me the right way of backing in the alley. What is the proper way? Please share it with me! thank you!

Glad you opened this up. I didn't perfect my backing skill when i was in driving school. The instructor taught me backing the car in a slope! How the hell am i supposed to learn when my concentration is on the brakes all the time. He should have taught me on a plain road first. I think when backing down the car, you should rely on you side mirrors. Just focus on one side of the butt of your car, the other side will follow. Sorry but that's all i can say for now.

I don't know if it's just me but I hardly turn my head to look at what's behind me. All 12 years of my driving life I always depend on my rear view and side mirrors and I'm actually very good at it. If you practice without a driving instructor, try looking just at your rear view mirror and side mirrors left and right then right and left and i tell you you will get used to it and you will survive. Whenever I see some drivers who try to park at a parking lot backwards they drive so slow and very carefully. It's because they turn their heads and look over their shoulder to look at what their cars might hit. I don't do that. I don't know but I just look at my side mirrors and I feel like i park the same way a bit faster than they do. I got to admit though that I also depend on my back sensor. I need that beeping sound if the back of my car is getting close to hitting something. Hope that helps. Goodluck!
