Would you prefer to live on charity govt dole rather than work for a living?

I find that there are a lot of people who are a parasite on society and prefer to live on charity an government dole rather than shake their back side and do some work. Even if they were to be given a job, they avoid working or quit at the first opportunity and just wait for some help from some quarter. Some people look for excuses not to work.
Don't these people have any self respect? don't they think that they can be proud of themselves if they earn what they eat because of their own efforts?

This is a peeve of mine mercuryman. I think that anyone in need shouls have the hepl to get back on their feet but there are a lot of people that take advantage of this. I think that by working for what we get,we not only give ourselves pride but it's a way of teaching our children pride too.

The sad thing is, the government encourages it. They may not come right out and say, "hey, you just sit on your duff and we'll support you" but the way they offer people bailouts for buying a house or car they couldn't afford rather than let them take responsibility for their mistake is sending, pretty much, the same message. If people, or businesses, aren't allowed to make a mistake, fall flat on their backside, and take responsibility for picking themselves back up, they will never learn to make better choices in the future and will always have their hands out waiting for the next handout from government; a handout that the rest of us will have to pay for. People have had it too easy for too long.

I prefer to work.I believe work is a part of one's life.And when you live with your own effort.You will satisfied and feel happy.Of course,The work can make you happy too.I will excite when I solve some problems.
In other words,I consider that one can't happy when you live by others' help.Just as the proverb in china.People have to lower their head if they live in others' house.
