has anyone here been involved in a massive disaster? for example, major bush fires, floods, storms... or tsunamis or terrorism attacks etc. The worst thing i was in was the worst hail storm ever in Sydney Australia, the hail stones were MUCH bigger then baseballs, it was very scary, we took shelter in our car under some huge oak trees, but i still wonder what happened to the man on the motorcycle in front of us, would of been a lot harder for him to take shelter. would love to hear your stories. thankyou :)

yes,I have just been involved in a perilous earthquake May 12th.2008.that really scare me and everybody here.the earth shaked for more than 1 minutes, most of us had no idea what's happening there, the girls in our office put themselves under the desks and I just scrabed the desk and wondering what's happening, then we all run out of the building.I can not stop shaking of my body for 2 minutes,it takes more than two monthes to get over this, the aftershocks are still happening here but now we are all used to it.is't really a massive disaster which took more than 80,000 lives,I should pray for them.

yeah haha well i've been through a few of them. the city i lived in was flooded about 4 years ago, i live on one of the hills though in the city. some peoples homes were filled with water, people lost their cars. i almost cried when i saw a red porsche covered in water. all that wasn't exposed to the water was about an inch on the top of the window and the roof of the car. schools were closed for about a week, the back of my school was flooded. in december we had a bad ice/hale/snow/rain storm here in massachusetts, and in NY and new hampshire. the power went out pretty much everywhere and didn't return until the next day even up to a week after. there were tree branches all over the place, some peoples roofs were messed up, like the shed in my back yard had a big tree branch fall into it... weird thing was that the next day the weather was like 70 degrees lol. thats new englands crazy weather for you.

I feel for those who are in Australia with the bush fires although it was start by a some stupid individual. But luckily I come from England and natural disaster are very uncommon with respect to bush fires however just recently alot of land was flooded due to high rainfall and many houses where damaged and some are still feeling the effects.

yes i feel for those who are affected, but there were dozons of fires there and only 2 or 3 where started by someone, the rest were because of storms and electrical faults etc, i am an aussie but luckyly dont live there... then at the other end of australia there are major floods right now, with whole towns under water... typical, they need the water else where.
