Some people get very irritated and angry when they are hungry or have skipped a mealtime. There are others who would just get on as if there has been no change in their routine and be normal. The faces of some people even wilt like a flower when they have skipped the ususal time.
As far as I am concerned ,if I have a very late lunch without proper breakfast I get tired and even a headache when it is very hot.Do share your thoughts .

LOl! If I am hungry and expected my food to be served, yes I'll get angry. If I know the reasons for the delayed lunch or dinner, I will make myself understand and will mentally prepare for the delay, however, if the reasons for the delay is not known to me or reasons are incomprehensible, I will get angry. I love to take my food on time and do not feel like compromising on this account, provided there is some valid reason. I take breakfast, then Lunch, then evening tea and then dinner and in between I avoid taking anything, normally.

Hi Kalav,
No, I won't get angry when I feel hungry. I think I am habitual now. I usually skip my breakfast when I was in college. But it created problem in my stomach. Now also I used to skip meals but I am trying my best to avoid the same for the sake of my health. I feel weakness in body but not angry on while hungry but my stomach may get angry on me (lol).

Oh yes, I do Kala! I get fidgety, irritable and sometimes angry when with my mom only. When with others I hardly show it but my mom gets the worst of me, always. Later on I feel so sorry and try to make it up. Moms are like that - sweet and caring always. I try to maintain a proper food habit and the times I don't my things get upset. I feel hungry and just cannot carry on with it. I have to have something to eat right then. And another thing I would like to mention that when I am dying of hunger, I have to eat something healthy and not just junks. Junk food makes it worse.

Oh yes How can I forget my sisters who sip in the rants and lasts like moms and not to forget my sweetest friend Kala! But I thought you people could really convince your husbands to a god diet by now, aren't you? My sisters still struggle!

Oh Mimpi I was trying hard to send you the comment but there was a connectivity problem . Anyhow, coming to the topic, my husband is very tolerant as far as food goes[taste of ] and has very regular habits .I am the culprit and if I keep yacking and fooling around on a holiday with father and son then I tend to delay the meal. However, since he is diabetic I would give him proper breakfast. Then I would dance around listening to songs played by my son and sometimes there will be genuine work and I would delay.Actually, I am the worst of the lot. Of course , then I would suddenly become noble and make a grand announcement that food would be ready at such and such a time.

Hi kalav56! I am used in not having a breakfast. I just take coffee or tea or milk or whatever catches my fancy. haha..However, at around 11 am I usually have oatmeal and have lunch at 1 pm. However, if I skipped my lunch or dinner, I don't get angry. I just get irritated easily. LOL.. and I do have headaches and I feel sluggish.
Take care and have a great day!

Headache is the real trouble and one remedy that I have found for this is to take bananas when you are hungry. The fructose [or whatever] in this goes some way in giving energy and keep you going till your next meal. And thank you Faith210 ;you respond faithfully to many of my topics and I really thank you for it.

Not really. I usually would suffer headache when I am very hungry already. I guess most people get irritated and would be hot tempered. But when I am hungry, I do not have the energy to burst up anymore. Perhaps we are the same.... headache and weak.

not really. i just find it really had to think and i get confused so easily. i think hunger has the opposite effect to me because i kinda feel lifeless and numb when i'm hungry rather than feeling and becoming really irritable. it's just weird but that's how it is.

Well I am an Insulin dependant Diabetic so for me trying to keep to a certain routine and pattern in my eating times, so I do notice myself sometimes becoming more irriatable, etc. when I am hungry compared to when I am not. Usually this is also a warning sign for me to check my Blood Sugar level as well. But I have been known to get a headache, etc. from time to time along with this as well.

I won't get angry or become irritable when I am hungry. Actually when I feel hungry, I will feel tired and don't want to do anything. Sometimes I will have a little sweat. And I will have no mood. I don't like the feeling to be hungry.

Hello kalav. If I skip breakfast, I mean when I do not have enough time for breakfast due to my late getting up in the morning, I will try to eat some snacks and drink a lot of water during the time when I am working in the office, but I will go to have an earlier lunch in the school canteen at around eleven, as those who no classes usually go to the canteen at this time of the day, half an hour earlier than those who have to finish their classes at eleven thirty. Otherwise I will have to stay hungry till then. Take care, friend.

There is a saying that "A hungry man is an angry man." never confront a hungry man as he can be very angry and can say or do mean things. I somehow do not notice hunger pangs if I am busy in work. I only realise how hungry i am on reaching home. then i can not wait and open up all the cans which contain some ready to eat snacks, take a handful and then await lunch.

Yes,yes I do. I don't think I feel angry at any other time of the day except when I'm hungry. I always feel cranky and in a bad mood when I'm hungry, if I get hungry I become tired and angry at the same time, and the angryiness does'nt wear off until after five minutes of finishing the food on my plate.Mabye, it has it's own phsycology.

I always miss my breakfast and also get a late lunch. I often get stomachache, but I have been used to this situation for many years, maybe six to seven years. Recently, I just had one dinner a day. I did feel hungry but I had no idea what to eat. So, I just let hungry go. haha. In fact, I find I can pay more attention to what I'm doing when I feel a little hungry. Good luck!

When I get very hungry, I become tired but I don't get angry. On the other hand, I get angry with one of my sisters who is very known for over-hospitality. She will try to push double my capacity of intake into my plate and also try to thrust in eatables into my mouth at odd hours when I am not hungry!
I knew of one customer of mine some 25 years ago; If I happen to meet him at around 12 in the noon, he will be very curt, irritable, and even display disrespect while talking. If I happen to meet him at other hours, he would not behave so. One day, the reason for his behavior came right from his mouth. He was suffering from ulcer and the doctor had advised him strongly that he should take his meals at the right time (and his lunch time was around 12 in the noon). So he detests visitors coming and talking to him at that hour and delay his lunch!

Some women are like that and it is their way of showing their affection. While thier motive is commendable, the only thing is this affection does not suit the other person on occasions and makes him/her uncomfortable.
I can never eat one morsel extra and would feel terrible if someone piles food on my plate like that. Thanks for your response.

I think everybody can get a bit more irritable if they are uncomfortable and being hungry can be a really uncomfortable feeling indeed. I get irritable too though I try not to let it affect my day. I try to munch on a biscuit or something if I am hungry. I don't like skipping meals either

I will not be angry when I am hungry. I am kind of used to it now. About four years ago, I could not skip a single meal. When it's time for a meal, no matter I am hungry or not, I felt like eating something. Now, it's just usual. But if I do feel hungry, I will find something to eat.

I'm terrible. My exhusband's pastor tried to convince us that we really didn't need to eat that much at all...that all that food inside us was causing us to not think straight. Ok, that's fine for him but not me. My body gets too jittery and I get that hunger headache.

Nice question indeed. Well, if I know that there are people at home and things too are there to be prepared and still nothing is there to eat I really lose my temper as I come home from my College. If it is otherwise like there was no money nor food to cook what is the point of getting irritated?
