baking ? roasting? steaming? boiling ? stir frying? deep frying ? grilling? In my home, we often use steaming, say steaming mantou, which is translated into English as steamed bread with no flavor at all. steamed fish, stew chicken, spare ribs, stew lamb, never roast anything or hardly grill. stir frying is used at least once per day to cook vegetables with meat or just only vegetables.

I do not cook. But, if I did I would probably just boil things. Oil is not good for me so I would not fry anything. Cheers!!

i don't have much talent in cooking so every time it's nanny's day off, i am forced to cook. and unfortunately, all i can do is fry. :-( that is why if i have the time, i plan to take up culinary arts.

I use almost all of the different methods all the time. The only method I don't use (hardly ever) is frying foods, I saw what that kind of cooking did to my elders health over the years. I think my favorite way is steaming and stir-frying. Not sure, but steaming and stir-frying probably are the healthier choices. In the summer I do grill a lot just because it tastes so good.

hello tudors
i guess that when i cook, i mostly do use the oven. i try to stay away from fried foods, i do not like the messy clean up when that i fix something fried and fried foods like that isn't good for anybody all of the time. but during the summer months of the year, my hubby will grill outside on the bbq grill and food on the grill like that tastes so much better than when i fix something in the oven. i really do not steam anything. i do not have a steamer. i do enjoy eating stir fry. i like stir fry with chicken and beef in it. i haven't ever tried just stir fry with veggies thou, but i would probably enjoy that as well. and i haven't ever tried lamb meat before or that bread that you mentioned either, the mantou?, the steamed bread with no flavor at all to it? is that bread good? thanks for sharing.
take care and have a beautiful evening.
