The country music scene id flooded with young new faces, taylor swift, carry underwoos, josh turner and many more. They all have great ne songs that areplayed on radios constantly, and I have even heard of one of them opening up for an older, very reputable group, and the crowed liked to opening show better. Are the new younger country singers pushing the older singers like reba, george, faith, tim, willy and so on, out of the lime light?

No I dont think so, I think they are just the new generation of country music and is actually probably bringing more of the younger generation into the country music industry... I personally love all the new country and some of the old, my parents listened to country when I was growing up so I know the music but I much prefer the new country music.

The new breed of country singers are not country as far as I am concerend. T. swiftless wearing a pair of cowboy boots does not make a country singer. I am not sure what classification she belongs in, but when she comes on the radio I change to a commercial. Amanda Lambert, another joke. These are not country singers. I have only been interested in country music for 12 years, I do not like the old old singer or the new ones.

There are classics... songs that will never totally die but I do think they are pop-ularizing country music... its not pop its country. There is too much crossover I mean there was a time when I couldn't switch my radio between 99.9 (country) and 97.9(pop) without hearing carrie underwood more often than not. It will never be oaky with me when a "country" song is on the top of the charts. There are very few newcomers that I could consider really country, and the old timers are joining in with the pop sound so that they can stay in the game... I love willy and he definitely doesn't get played enough. These pop country singers also put out their albums way to fast...
