How Do You Feel About Mylot Lately?

Do you feel the way I do and experience, as well, the same problems that I have been dealing with?
I have to spend so much more time in order to post 30 responses in a day these days. Mylot is just simply too slow in its performance.
I have also been expriencing losing so much of my finished responses because, i just could not get them posted at last.
Will you share with me your experiences while doing mylot for this month? I have been wondering whether this is a peculiar situation for me or, if there are others around here who are having the same problems as I do. My children have told me that the problem must be because the server can no longer accommodate the activity of mylotters who are getting online at the same time. We are just too much for the server. Thus, there is really a need for the admin to upgrade our server by now. Share with me your ideas on this, I need some enlightenment.

The main thing I have is that it is slower to load and that does not happen to the other sites. I used to be able to open so many tabs, and go through them and either start a new discussion, or respond to one, and even to find some new friends, but it just drags along. I do believe that myLot should upgrade its server. It does effect what we get paid because even though I do not start that many discussions, I find that my responses are getting less because most of the time I am waiting for it to load.

I hope so. It used to be that I was able to get in 50 posts and responses but now I am lucky if I am able to get in twenty and I do not want to be on myLot all day. So I do hope they upgrade.

Thank you for the best response. I have now gone down to ten responses. And I am rather concise ion answering. If I were very loquacious in writing, then it would help.

it is true suspenseful that we lose so much if the performance of the mylot system gets to be this slow. with me, it is the whole process which is so slow. so let us both hope that mylot upgrades its system soon enough.

I have only been on here for, well less than a week. I'm not sure that mylot is that slow, though. It could also be a problem with your connection. Even if you have some type of high speed they are known to have gliches. I have cable internet and every once in awhile is will still draaaaaaag on some site.
But, perhaps I have misunderstood you? Are speaking of the site to load or the time for your posts to be counted for you? I'm no tech geek, but I grew up with one and have to endure a lot of tech blah blah blah from time to time. It very well could be a server problem, but I haven't really noticed anything to weird. I'm new here, but I've used a lot of other sites and mylot seems to be by far the best.

oh, dismalgrin, it is good to know from you that mylot is among those sites which are satisfactorily performing. the problem that i have encountered really points to mylot though. my kids two computers are just side by side with mine. they are not encountering problems while chatting or playing games with friends online.
i am really losing some posts. some of my composed responses do not get posted. i don't know why. after ticking on post response, it takes more than a minute to do it only to find that the whole thing is back with the discussion plus a blank response block. it is supposed to be the adding of tags after posting, right?

If you are starting a new discussion or a new comment to a discussion, it should be adding the tags. Now that you mention, it doesn't sound like it is your computer... because I'm assuming that your computer is possibly on a LAN with your children's computers? Or perhaps not, it really doesn't matter. Perhaps you should contact Mylot and ask them? I don't know if they are good about replying, but you don't want to lose your posts... I'm sure!

I am also finding same problem.
The speed is so slow,I am loosing interest.
I don't understand why it has become so slow now.
I am now avoiding opening someone profile and sending friend request.
Somehow managing to post some responses

hello, muru. it is the same with me here. i am losing interest to do a lot of mylotting. like now, i have been online for about three hours already and i have managed to post only 5 responses and this discussion and the comments thereto.

There are certainly a lot of us now and that could well be why it has been slower of late. It's also a good sign though if so many users are busy here. I'm sure it will get sorted soon and it will get back to the usual speed and we can all get back to the usual pace.
I have found it to be slow these last two days but up until then everything was fine. Maybe there are more users busy now because it's the end of the month

if my situation is as good as it is with yours, wherein it has been slow only for two days, i would not be complaining, my friend. however, just like you, i am hoping that the admin will do something about this. just tonight, i have lost a lot of my composed responses because they did not get posted.

I noticed a 'runtime error' at some point in the last hour and since then it seems faster than before. I hope it will soon be better for you too. It is so disappointing when we lose posts after submitting them.

My lot is fine with me. It loads faster at my ends.
Maybe it has something to do with your internet connection.
When I'm doing my lot...I don't open other websites.

I also thought that its only me that experiencing those problem. I thought our internet connection is just slow so i just don't mind. Well, now that you brought that up, I also think that they need to upgrade mylot's server so that posting will be a lot easier and faster.

yes, i also thought that the slowness was due to our internet connection. so i called the office about it only to find that my line is functioning normally. this was confirmed by my kids when i inquired with them. this is the reason why i have decided to embark on this discussion since, it has been more than a month already and the problem seems to be getting worse even instead of letting up.

i have not been here much for last month, i have started forex trading so i was not able to login here, today i have come becoz of week-end, but i am not experienceing the problem that u have faced friend, maybe its your internet connection problem. I think you should get the high speed connection that will help you a lot.Keep mylotting, we miss u here...

It was slow but it seems that it's getting better. Sometimes I couldn't get on mylot with my response and I ended up leaving mylot for that day feeling totally annoyed. But now the situation seems to have improved, I haven't experienced that for awhile and even though the loading is slow, I get to post my typing!

Hi trinidadvelasco! I had the same experience dear friend. I lost some of my typed responses, have to wait for 40 minutes just to get one response posted, it was really, really slow. The same opinion of having too many members logging in at the same time was given to me by my husband and that mylot should probably upgrade. I guess, it is not that simple to upgrade at this time since it also cost a lot to maintain a site. I just hope that they do however, so we can all enjoy participating here. And I am glad that everything is running smoothly and a little fast now.

Finally, I thought I was the only one. Lately, I tried to conduct a survey for my dissertation. No matter whether I tried it through posting or through messages, I didn't get things back. My friend told me that he couldn't reply. It drove me crazy because I need data to continue writing~~

MyLot has been garbage the past couple of days. I don't think you are alone. I once wrote a long comment and the page wouldn't submit. I lost everything I wrote. That really was unacceptable.

I have the same problem. When it gets slow, or just cannot work, I just copy, paste, and save my drafts elsewhere, for fear they got lost. If I happen to find the discussion, I can use the drafts as responses. The server is tight to accommodate the increasing number of members, and esp. when drawing to the end of the month.

actually, mylot has been working quit fine with me. i've been on here for three days, and only have $0.57.i've written almost 30 responces and conversations today put together.
