Hi slimshady, I think your dog is just being a dog . He isn't pooping in your shoes , or ripping up the furniture. I get up at 6 in the morning , so I'm the one getting my dogs up. Our youngest will wake me up in the night sometimes , but I rather her do that then pee on the floor. Our dogs all bark at the gate when someone comes over. They are only guarding thier property , good dogs ! pat.. pat. The main thing is that you teach them Quiet! or Hush! and they listen to you. That only takes a little training. If your dog is waking you up real early in the morning ,maybe you can cut down on the water he drink the night before . Or how about getting up to let him go outside to potty , then bring him back in to go back to sleep?

My dog is the silent type. Barks once a day, to my observation. She likes to sleep everytime she sees me sleeping. She wants people carrying her and cuddling her.

My dogs used to do that, but I have taught them to behave. When I say to be quiet they become quiet. It's all a matter of taking the time to train them.

I think your dog is being a good dog to guard you and the house. If you don't want him bark, you gotta teach him by a strong command over and over again like Quiet/shut up/cut it out etc he will eventually get it because dogs are just like kids, if you teach them patiently, tey will understand.

I have a Yorkie Poo puppy and she is nuts!!! She is never still. She runs around the house chasing the cat like a little maniac. She bite people's fingers and toes. She is not house trained yet either, which I a huge pain. My boyfriend's seven year old son even gets sick of her jumping all over him. But she is so sweet sometimes (when she licks your ears and nuzzles on you) and is soooooo cute all of the time--everything is forgiven!
