When I was in school, mt parents made sure that I understood the importance of doing my best in class. As a result, I was a good student and got very good grades. Now, I am a parent myself, and I also instill in my kids the importance of an education. I always tell them that they only get one shot at this, so they need to try to learn all that they can. As a result, my kids also get good grades in school. They know that I know what they are capable of and they normally try to do their best.
Son, I was just wondering, were you a good student? If you have kids, are they doing well in school?

Hello there, lynnemg! ^_^
I don't have kids yet. I'm in college and as a student, I participate in class activities and do my job well. I believe that education is one of the key to success. It makes an individual a right thinker. It tells a person how to think and how to make decisions. No knowledge, no absorption.^_^

Perhaps, my parents are pretty similar to you. They always emphasized on good grades. Alhamdulillah, fortunately I could achieve that during my school days. However, I think something was missing on my education process. That was a social life of a student. I did not join many organizations so until now I find it is sometimes difficult to deal with people in many situations.

I think I am, Don't have kids yet and still in my college ^_~ for me, as long as I understand everything well is enough for me, although good grades may lead you for a better future. specially when in college level. ^_~
It's all about how to deal everything in live, without it I think you cannot use you knowledge well if you don't know how to deal with it ^_~

I love to learn and always have! I was always the shy kid in the back of the class soaking up all the information I could. The weird thing is, my daughter is anthing but shy, she is so the opposite of me and sometimes I really dont know how to handle her. She has been in trouble in school for mooning the class, hitting other children, not listening, interrupting, and I was never in a million years this way when I was a child. I try so hard to instil in her what my mother instilled in me, but her temperment is so different than mine and what I am used to dealing with with other children. She does well with her homework and is pretty respectful at home but when she is at school, a whole other child breaks loose.
