I would say tasteless unless your body is really needing it. Then it taste so clean and fresh. It is absolutely great when your body is craving it and then you drink it. Water has its own taste that is indescribable.

Clean water has no taste. You might detect some of the low levels of salts dissolved in the glass or some other impurities. The main joy of a cool glass of water is the thirst quenching sensation. It is the craving that is satisfied.
Some people are so used to having something sweet and flavoured liked coffee or soda pop they will not drink water. They say it has no taste. But it also has not calories or has no sugar that will rot your teeth. I think it is a matter of habit as they not only need that thirst quenching sensation but need a taste to go along with it.

Water does have a taste. Although I can not describe it
If water did not have a taste then no one would know what it tastes like. Also how many times have you drank something and said "it tastes like water", or hear others say it.
So maybe water is a descriptive word after all.
