Being happy is only 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. I vow to choose to be happy. To put events into the proper perspective and enjoy today. Time here is too short to spend much of it choosing to be unhappy and yet so many of us unconsciously make that very decision every day. My happiness is MY responsibility. And your is YOURS.
Bad things happen. Look at it with "glass half full" vision and count your blessings.

All through our lives we search for happiness not even knowing what is it exactly. Happiness is all abou feeling good and nice about everything. Everyday after I wake up in the morning, there are two options for me: either to be happy and spend the day gladly or to be sad and spoil the day. Unfortunately ,I like many other people, choose the second option by crying over spilt milk, thinking of the things which happened and can happen to me and bla bla bla. But oneday I realised that, if there are hundred reasons for us to feel sad, there are thousand reasons for us to be happy. So I have decided to feel the other round and be happy always.Afterall it's all in our hands guys!!

Did you come up with the 10% and 90%? Ha, ha! That does sound about right. Whenever I get really upset about something and I think about it a half hour latter I think what the heck was I so mad about. I try to stop myself now, because I know freaking out doesn't help the situation and really, why get upset. I know a couple that are always happy--always seeing the good. I love them and I love being around them. I always feel better. I do think some of us are predisposed to be negative and miserable, but you are right about choosing to be happy. Everyone can be happy on some level anyway.
