This question is for us ladies - will you go out in public without makeup? Or are you like me, and feel "naked" without your makeup or your "face on"?

Well, I suppose it all depends on how often you wear makeup to begin with; to me it has become a natural routine, whereas with you, you're totally not used to it. Thanks for responding, it's interesting to hear about people who don't wear makeup.

Hi, I was never allowed to wear it and never developed a routine/ knowledge of how to use it. Sometimes I make an attempt because my husband will comment that he thinks it would be nice for me to wear it sometimes. It's never comfortable for me. Also, I wear classes and when I try to wear mascara, I realize that my lashes touch my lenses and I end up wiht black streaks on my glasses - not helpful! LOL! I can imagine that since I'm so conscious of it when I do wear it, you must feel "naked" if you're used to wearing it regularly.

Thanks for responding! And you probably don't need to be wearing mascara if your eyelashes are so long they touch your glasses in the first place.

You're absolutely right! Also, I think the makeup for me isn't worth buying since I wear it so infrequently. I've read that you shouldn't keep it longer than a few months.

Always. I don't wear makeup. I don't really care if people see the flaws on my face. I see no need to try to hide it with make-up.

Well, I don't wear makeup to "hide" anything, I wear makeup to accentuate my good features. So I'm not sure why you think that people wear makeup with the intention of hiding flaws. But believe what you'd like. Thanks for responding!

That's not what I said. Please reread my response. I was talking about me in general, not other people.

Yup, sunglasses are GREAT at hiding a bare face. Especially the big, cute, and chic ones. Thanks for responding!

I don't wear make up, and if I do it's because someone's talked me into it, and put it on my face! lol! So going out in public without it is not a biggie.

Hi, maezee! Yes, I have went out into the public without any makeup on. I have done this plenty of times.. I am not a makeup wearer. I only wear lipstick or lip gloss when I am in the mood to wear it. I have not worn lipstick in about three months as of now. I love all my colors of lipsticks.

It depends out to where - if it's to the morning market or shops, I'm too lazy to put on makeup. But if I'm meeting friends, or shopping in the malls or going to work, then I'll have to put on make-up.

hello maezee Will you go out in public without makeup? i always like to go out in public with my make-up on and my hair fixed as well. sometimes if i do not have time to fix my hair, then i will grab a cap or a sun visor and head out for the day. i would rather have my hair fixed thou, than to have to wear some kind of a hat all day. and i also sit around my house with my make-up on and my hair done as well. lol you never know who might come over un-announced to visit. lol i wouldn't want to run them off, whoever that it may happen to be, due to the fact that they would have to see me without any make-up on. lol they might pass out! or die from laughter one or the other. lol but yes, i do as well feel naked without my make-up on for the day and also i have to have my earrings in as well or i feel naked. lol take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

I can go out to the public without wearing make up, in fact I never wear make up I just put on lipgloss and face powder and everything is okay for me. I don't like many paints also in my face, it makes me look old and worn-out, I just want a simple get up.

I'm with you - I also like having a simple ritual. I have friends who take HOURS to do their makeup each day, and it usually takes me less than 10-15 minutes. I don't like things to be complicated either. Thanks for responding! =)

I go out alot with out make up one, I grew up in a strict house and wasn't allowed to wear makeup. My mom wasn't allowed either! I kind of rebeled back in the day, I snuck clear nail polish, used tinted chapstick and dabbed vasiline on my eyelashes to make them brighter looking. Now I have a makeup bag in my bathroom and keep lipstick in my purse at all times. But, I guess that years of not wearing make up when I went out and I just forget a lot. Now, if I have someplace important to go to I will go all out with putting on makeup. But, even then, my aunt puts me down a lot because she says I don't do it right. She gets all artsy with the different shades of foundation in different places, she uses different colors of eyeshadow in certain creases and blends it all a certain way. I, on the other hand, tend to lightly cover my face with a tinted moisturizer, sweep on mineral powser makeup. Dab a single cover of eyeshadow across the imediate crease of my eyes (light for day, darker of the same shade for evening) put on my mascara and lipstick and I go! Haha. During the summer I will sometimes use a little bronzer on my face and chest area (it makes them look like they still lift up like they are supposed to! Haha) But, then during the summer I sometimes just swift some mineral power across my face and go because here in Missouri it quickly feels like your face is seriously melting in the humid heat we endure here! Haha. So, I think I just went a little beyond what you wanted us to discuss just now, but oh well... it's a good question!

Thnaks for responding! You didn't go overboard. lol. I usually wear bronzer all year long, although when I have a natural tan in the summer, I limit my face make up to bronzer, too! It's a great idea. Thanks for responding!

it depends on the day. if its going out and about then yes i have to wear make up. i think it makes a better empression and i feel more beautiful with it. if its going to the gym, then wearing make up is waste. you don't need to look beautiful while working out.

I will definitely go out in public without makeup. I don't wear it on any kind of regular basis. I just never got the hang of it. It just seemed like a waste of money most of the time.

Thanks for responding, it's good to hear your opinion. I personally think it's very useful & isn't as expensive as most people think it is.

I very, very rarely wear make-up at all, so going out in public without it is the norm for me. I don't see the sense in "putting on a face" so to speak. I am who I am and I don't need to hide it or cover it up.

Thanks for the response, although I don't like that you say "I am who I am and I don't need to hide it or cover it up". Most people, including myself, wear makeup not to "cover themselves up" but to accentuate their good features, so I'm slightly offended by that statement. But thanks for the answer.

No, I don't usually put on make up if nothing special. I only do make up for somebody's formal party or have a real fancy date to a 5 stars restaurant or something. Because first, I do feel I want to put on make up most of the days and the other thing is I hate the removing make up part...

I feel stupid if I wear makeup. I never wear it. I think it is ok for other people I just don;t see why I should make myself look different to feel comfortable.

I generally only wear eye makeup. But there are plenty of days that I don't wear makeup at all. When I am wearing it foundation/powder, I feel like there's so much stuff on my face and it bugs me.

It's probably just HOW MUCH and WHAT KIND of face makeup you're using, a lot of them are thicker & less comfortable than others. Thanks for responding!
